NIT admission 2020What does this mean? NIT admission 2020 will be based on the students performance in the JEE Mains and as far as the qualifying exam (plus-two) is concerned, it is enough if the candidate gets a pass certificate irrespective of marks.

As far as entry into NITs is concerned, students had to register a good performance in JEE Mains and also have a score of over 75 percent to gain admission in the past.

However, this year that norm with regards to NIT admission 2020 is being relaxed. This has come of a happy news to students. The reason behind this relaxation seems to be the present COVID-19 situation.

However, the current year proved to be quite different with regards to academic process in this country. Many exams including that of 12th standard could not be conducted in a smooth manner.

The results were derived based on assessment different from the usual. Keeping this in view established educational institutions like NITs and IITs have taken this decision.

Union Minister for Human Resource Development has also announced the same point.

‘Owing to circumstances this time Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) has decided to provide relaxation with regards to the eligibility criteria for securing admission in NITs and other CFTIs,’ was the message.

Good that this announcement with regards to NIT admission 2020 was made. Now marks earned in 12th standard will not be a concern for students, they can focus on preparing for NIT admission 2020.

It is not only with regards to NIT admission 2020, but also IIT admission process has some worthnoting development.

Relaxations were announced with regards to admissions into IITs. As per this relaxation, students who clear JEE Advanced this time will be eligible to gain entry into IITs, his or her marks in the 12th exam will not be a concern.
