Once the National Testing Authority (NTA) publishes the updated list of activities, candidates will be able to take them in the exams on the internet.

Supreme Court’s Involvement

The delay in the release of the revised merit list is a result of a directive from the Supreme Court issued on July 23. The court confirmed that the NEET UG 2024 exam experienced paper leaks at two locations: Patna and Hazaribagh. Consequently, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has been tasked with continuing the investigation to uncover further details regarding these leaks.

Key Points from the Supreme Court Hearing

  1. Confirmation of Paper Leak: The Supreme Court upheld the Patna and Hazaribagh reports and ordered a review of activities.
  2. Ongoing CBI Investigation: The CBI is probing the allegations to ensure accountability and transparency
  3. Continuation of Admission Process: Despite the disruptions, the Supreme Court has allowed the counselling and admission processes to proceed as planned. Guidelines will be established to prevent similar issues in the future.
  4. Changes to Answer Key: The Supreme Court mandated a correction to the answer key for a disputed Physics question, as recommended by an expert committee from IIT-Delhi. This adjustment will affect the scores of many students.
