What is NEET UG 2023 exam?

Candidates who have passed plus-two in the science stream with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects can apply for NEET UG 2023.
Students who have appeared for their final year exams and are waiting for the results or students who are about to appear for the final year exams of their qualifying degree can also apply. However, these students have to pass their exams and provide proof of it by the time of admission.
How to take up NEET UG 2023 registration?
The process to undertake NEET UG 2023 registration is online. Candidates have to visit the official website of NEET UG 2023 at ‘https://neet.nta.nic.in/’ to submit applications. The URL mentioned earlier has to be typed into the browser and the webpage must be allowed to download.
Once the webpage is downloaded, candidates can read the information about the exam and then click the link for NEET UG 2023 registration and create an account comprising a username and password.
Post account creation, candidates can log in and fill out the application form, pay the registration fees and then submit the application form. The NEET UG 2023 registration fee is Rs 1700 for General category candidates.
NEET UG 2023 registration fee for General (EWS)/OBC-NCL category candidates is Rs 1600. SC/ST/PwBD/Third Gender category applicants have to pay Rs 1000 as registration charges. Students willing to write NEET UG 2023 outside India have to pay Rs 9500 as registration charges.
Students who pass NEET UG 2023 with the required qualifying marks can apply for counselling where they choose the college and course. Counselling takes place to fill seats at the All India level and state level.
Students who wish to study in central government institutions can apply under the All India Quota for which Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) conducts the counselling.
Respective authorities of various states in India conduct counselling at their state level. Candidates can visit the official websites of the respective authorities for more information. Students who get the seat in the college of their choice can convey their acceptance, pay the fees and join the college for the course.
