MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020: Schedule for the great exam declared
MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 will take place from 1 to 3 July as per the new schedule released by Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE).
MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 were scheduled between 28 Feruary to 30 March. While exams for many subjects in arts, science and commerce streams were conducted.
The subjects for which exams were halted owing to corona virus outbreak were Economics, Chemistry, Sociology, Computer Science (T) and Home Science (T).
MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 were scheduled in April, however they were postponed. Sources say, MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 could not be conducted in April owing to stiff opposition.
There was strong opposition from students as there were lot of inconveniences in place owing to the lockdown.
Lateron they were to be conducted in June. As there is a complete lockdown in the state till 22 June, the MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 have once again been postponed.
Now MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 will be held from 1 to 3 July. Economics and Chemistry (T) were to be held on 23 March. Sociology was supposed to be held on 26 March and Computer Science (T) and Home Science (T) were to be conducted on 30 March this year as per the old schedule.
Now MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 for these subjects will be conducted 1 to 3 July. Sources further say, around 4,700 students will be attending the MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 for remaining subjects.
The datesheet as per the old schedule was released on 6 December last year for MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020. There were good deal of gaps between the exams and this enabled students to rest and rejuvenate only to boost their preparation.
Language subjects namely Mizo, Hindi, Nepali, Bengali were held. MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 were also conducted for subjects Education, Psychology (T), Physics (T), Accountancy, Political Science, Public Administration, Business Studies, Biology.
The other subjects for which MBSE HSSLC Exams 2020 were conducted included Mathematics, Business Mathematics, History, Geography (T), Geology (T).
After these, the process of examination came to a halt. Now they are to resume.
About MBSE
The Mizoram Board of School Education (MBSE) is an autonomous governmental body for academic administration in Mizoram, India, having its jurisdiction from elementary to higher secondary education.
It was established by the Government of Mizoram (then the Union Territory of India) in 1975 by the Mizoram Board of School Education Act.
It has the power to regulate, supervise and control school education in Mizoram. Its primary function is to prepare academic programmes and organise examinations, especially for state level High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) and Higher Secondary School Leaving Certificate (HSSLC).
From 2012, the board also conducts State Technical Entrance Examination (STEE) for entry into technical courses such as engineering, medicine, veterinary science, pharmacy, nursing, homoeopathy, and dentistry.
The duty of the Chairman is to see that the provisions of the MBSE Act, rules and regulations made thereunder are faithfully observed and he shall have all powers necessary for the purpose.
One of the most important function of MBSE is to provide recognition to schools and institutes and also monitor their administrative work. The other function of MBSE is to maintain quality education by prescribing curricular structure and recommending textbooks.
MBSE takes the responsibility of conducting exams and publishes results. It maintains co-ordination with the state government for any educational matters.
