Mahindra University launches School of Law – Mahindra University turned center of attraction as it launched its School of Law.

Mahindra University launches School of Law (MU-SoL) will offer courses namely BA LL.B (Honors) and BBA LL.B (Honors).

Mahindra University School of Law has appointed Dr. Sridhar Acharyulu, an acclaimed academician former Central Information Commissioner, as the Dean of the School of Law.

Mahindra University-SoL

MU-SoL will be operational from the academic year 2021-22. The intake would be 60 students each for the above said programmes.

Before taking over as Dean of Mahindra University’s School of Law, Dr. Sridhar Acharyulu was Professor at NALSAR, Hyderabad and prior to that he was Registrar at NALSAR University.

He is a well-known writer and has written and published 48 books on Law and Journalism in Telugu and English, more than 100 research articles and thousands of newspaper articles.

He was the Central Information Commissioner from 2013 to 2018 and delivered several landmark orders on transparency under Right to Information Act.

He leads a team of distinguished and experienced faculty at Mahindra University SoL.

Curriculum

At Mahindra University School of Law, the curriculum is designed in such a way that the focus will remain on quality academic inputs, research orientation and multi-disciplinary integration.

The focus will be on empowering the students with the requisite skills and legal prowess to help them excel in the legal world.

MU-SoL aspires to send its graduated students to various corporate houses, judiciary and leading law firms at the end of successful completion of their five years integrated course.

BBA LL.B (Honors)

Bachelor of Business Administration and Bachelor of Law (Honors) course offered at Mahindra University School of Law is an undergraduate integrated program to focus on interrelationship of Management Studies and Law.

Besides, the fundamentals of Management, Financial Accounting, Effective Communication, and Computer Application are some of the main subjects of the business part of the BBA LLB (H) Program, while the Law Subjects include Law of Torts, Constitutional law, Criminal law, Civil wrongs, Administrative law, Company law, Property law, Family law, Alternate Dispute Resolution and so on.

Eligibility

Individuals willing to join this course must have passed plus-two exam with 60 percent pass marks.

They should also have passed LSAT examination or CLAT examination with a good score.

OR

Candidates willing to seek a seat in this course in Mahindra University’s School of Law and donot have CLAT or LSAT scores have to appear for Mahindra University Law Entrance Test (MULET).

The students of this integrated course will also learn the subjects of liberal arts such as English, History, Sociology, Political Science, besides Law & Economics.

This program provides a strong background to step into Indian Administrative Services too.

The last date to apply for first round of admission with regards BA LLB (Honors) and BBA LLB (Honours) was August 4.

The last date for the receipt of applications for admissions is August 30.
