Candidates willing to apply for PhD programmes offered by Mahindra University must have passed postgraduation in the discipline in which the individual wants to pursue research.
The pass percentage in their qualifying degree must be 60 or candidate or the applicants must have CGPA of 6.0 on a 10 point scale.
Also
Full time students who do not possess M.Tech. or equivalent degree and instead possess B.Tech. or equivalent degree with a CGPA of 7.00 on a 10-point scale or 70% aggregate marks are required to have a valid GATE score or UGC/CSIR/DBT/INSPIRE Fellowship Examination for Sciences/Humanities and Social Sciences disciplines.
Point to remember for Mahindra University admissions for PhD
The requirement of GATE/National examination can be waived for consideration for admission to Ph.D. programs for all graduates from Centrally Funded Technical Institutes with a B.Tech./B.E./Integrated M.Sc. (or any other program of minimum four years duration, admission to which was on the basis of JEE) with CGPA of 8.00 and above at the time of graduation.
The requirement of GATE/National Examination can be also waived for M.Sc. graduates from IITs with a CGPA of 8.00 and above.
Selection process
Applicants for PhD programme with Mahindra University will be shortlisted and called for an online interview.
The selection will depend on the performance in the interview.
Important dates of Mahindra University admissions for PhD
The last date for submission of application for PhD admission is 30 June.
The shortlisting candidates who applied for PhD programmes in Mahindra University will happen on 7 July.
Interviews for the shortlisted candidates will happen from 14 to 17 July.
The results in connection with PhD admission at Mahindra University will be announced on 25 July.
Commencement of the Spring 2021 semester teaching will commence in September to October this year.

Post downloading the form, applicants have to fill it up and deposit the registration fee of Rs 1000 into ICICI Bank account (A/C no. 404101000071) of Mahindra University through net banking.

Once the duly filled-in Application Form is received by the Mahindra University, the applicant will receive an email acknowledgement within 3-5 working days along with the Application Number for future
reference.

Assistantship
Full-time Ph.D. scholars will get an assistantship of Rs. 25,000 per month plus free boarding and lodging in the Mahindra University campus.
They will have to mandatorily perform Teaching Assistantship of 8 hours a week.
