Lucknow University gets A++ NAAC grading – In a rather uplifting turn of events, there is good news for Lucknow University. They have received the highest grade; i.e. A++ from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).
NAAC assesses the overall systems along with teaching work in higher education institutions in India. The NAAC team visited the campus of Lucknow University for a field visit on July 21 and the assessment was conducted till July 23.
This is such great news that Mr Anandiben Patel, Uttar Pradesh Governor and Chancellor has congratulated the varsity and the people of the state for getting the highest grade in the NAAC evaluation. This is an achievement for them.
She has been quoted saying “This achievement is inspiring for other universities of the state. Therefore, universities should continue their efforts to improve the quality of their teaching and work system till they attain the highest grade,”. “In its first application, when the best ranking awarded by the NAAC was 5-star, at that time the university got a 4-star grade. The university got a B grade in the ABCD series and now Lucknow University has become the first university in the state to get an A++ grade in the NAAC assessment,”

In her statement, she also added that Lucknow has also got NAAC grading twice and this was just path-breaking. In its first application, when the best ranking awarded by the NAAC was 5 stars, at that time the university got a 4-star grade.
Not only the governor and the chancellor, but it is also Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister. Mr Aditya Yogi Nath congratulated the University for its achievement. In his statement, he also said “Lucknow University is the first state university in the state, which has achieved this feat. It is a matter of pride for the people of the state,”.
He continued by saying “in the last five years, every level of education has been strengthened in the state, which is yielding encouraging results.” Meanwhile, former deputy chief minister Dinesh Sharma said that “the A++ grade in the NAAC assessment is a result of reforms started in 2017 in the higher education sector of UP. “
