JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam is an exam for those who want to study nursing at JIPMER in Puducherry.

About the exam
JIPMER Nursing 2022 is a national level exam conducted by JIPMER in Puducherry to offer admission in BSc Nuring or MSc Nursing to students who pass it.

Candidates willing to study nursing at undergraduate or postgraduate levels have to pass the test with a good score.

This exam is usually conducted on last Sunday of July every year.

However, if situations demand, the exam date could be changed also.

Eligibility
The eligibility condition for applying for JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam depends on the type of nursing course the applicant wishes to study.

BSc Nursing
The applicants desiring to study undergraduate nursing course through JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam must have passed plus-two exam from a recognised institution with physics, chemistry and biology and english as subjects.

The pass percentage in the qualifying exam must be 50 percent if the applicants are from General Category which is also known as Open Category (OC).

The same for SC/ST and PwD category applicants is 40 and 45 percent respectively.

Individuals willing to gain admission in postgraduation in nursing through JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam must be a pass in BSc Nursing from a recognised institution.

Applicants should have secured 50 percent pass marks in the qualifying exam.

The candidates should have registered with the State Registration Council of Nursing and Midwifery.

The applicants should have at least one year of experience in a hospital or in a College or in a School of Nursing or in Community Health Program after studying B.Sc. Nursing.

Post the downloading of webpage, applicants have to click the appropriate link for registration and commence registration to obtain username and password.

Applicants must login with help of username and password and begin applying for JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam.

They can submit the required information, upload the needed documents and pay the registration fees and submit the application form.

Registration fee
The applicants of General/EWS/OBC categories have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1500.

The same for SC/ST candidates is Rs 1200 and applicants of PwD category are exempted from paying any registration fee.

Point to remember
The registration fee is liable to change (either reduced or increased) owing to various factors.

Important dates

The registration may likely end in fourth week of May or first week of June in 2022.

The exam is likely to be in July. And, counselling is expected to take place from August to September.

The classes are expected to start in last week of September of first phase of October in 2022.

JIPMER Nursing 2022 examExam pattern
JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam is a computer based test and questions in it will be in multiple choice format. The total number of questions are 100.

Individuals have to answer the questions in a duration of 90 minutes (one-and-half hour).

Every correct answer in JIPMER Nursing 2022 exam for BSc Nursing will get one mark. The same for MSc Nursing is four marks.

There is no negative marking in JIPMER Nursing 2022 (BSc Nursing), however a wrong answer in the exam for MSc Nursing will lead to deduction of one mark.

The syllabus
BSc Nursing
The questions will be related to physics, chemistry, biology, english and logical and quantitative aptitude.

Applicants can read the lessons related to above topics usually taught at 10th and plus-two classes in various institutions.

MSc Nursing
The questions will be from lessons taught in BSc Nursing course in any of the recognised institutions across the country.
