JEE Mains 2021 to be held in 13 great Indian languages
JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted in 13 Indian languages next year.
Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said this while making announcements about the exam on 16 December.
JEE Mains 2021 to be held in 13 great Indian languages
If this happens, then students who are comfortable with local languages can attend the exam too. Which means JEE Mains 2021 is likely to witness a greater participation.
That is not all, there is more to JEE Mains 2021 than meets the eye. The next year will witness JEE Mains being conducted four times a year.
The first edition of JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted from 23 to 26 February next year. The subsequent editions will be conducted in March, April and May.
What would students gain by conducting JEE Mains 2021 for four times in a year? This will give a chance to students to choose from the widely available schedules, said Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
If a student has to attend board exams whose dates are clashing with JEE Mains 2021, they need not worry as the exams will be conducted four times a year.
They can choose a schedule convenient for them and attend the exam. This is expected to make a big difference for students.
Unlike the previous years where JEE Mains was conducted only twice, next year could be more convenient as JEE Mains 2021 will be held four times.
If students miss JEE Mains exam owing to clashing board exam or school exam schedules they need not wait till next year as they were doing it in the past years, said S. Venugopal, faculty with JEE Mains coaching centre.
Agreeing with him is K. Ramamurthy, maths teacher with a CBSE school. Since JEE Mains 2021 is likely to be conducted four times a year, students can write their board exams and also attempt JEE Mains, he said.
Union Minister for Education Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank said they have analysed the suggestions that have come from students and parents.
Based on the suggestions, it is decided to conduct JEE Mains 2021 four times – February, March, April and May.
The first session of JEE Mains 2021 will be conducted from 23 to 26 February and the results will be released with in five days after the last date of the exam, said Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
The students have a choice to attend any one of the four sessions during the year, however, they need not attend all the sessions in JEE Mains 2021.
In case if students attend more than one time, their best scores in the sessions attended will be taken into consideration while preparing the merit list or ranking.
Each paper in JEE Mains 2021, will have 90 questions, which means three subjects (maths, physics and chemistry) will have 30 questions each.
If the candidates are to answer 75 questions in JEE Mains 2021, then each subject will have 25 questions to answer in each subject.
Students will have benefits, said Union Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank.
If one is not able to score much in the first attempt, candidates can try to get a good score in the subsequent attempts, he said.
