IITMPTF partners with great French University
IITMPTF is partnering with L’Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile (ENAC) to offer a first-of-its-kind course in Indian Civil Aviation industry on ‘Aviation Safety Management’.
ENAC is a French university and IITMPTF stands for IIT Madras Pravartak Technologies Foundation.
Target
This course targets professionals working in the air transport industry. It is designed to train Safety Managers and Experts to lead, assess, improve and promote Safety Performance in various organizations in the Air Transport System, say sources from IITMPTF.
Air Transport
Air Transport is a complex and rapidly changing macro-system. Safety is supported by a set of regulatory requirements, already implemented for many years but in constant evolution, say sources from IITMPTF.
Beyond regulations and technical developments, it is necessary to engage all actors at all levels of organizations so that they can contribute positively to Safety, say sources from IITMPTF.
Safety Management remains a major challenge and requires adapted skills, including soft skills communication, leadership and assertiveness.
First batch
The First Batch, which will have a maximum of 30 seats, will commence during January 2025. The last date to register is 15th December 2024.

Collaboration
IIT Madras director Prof V Kamakoti welcomed the collaboration between IIT Madras and ENAC.
We are delighted to work with ENAC – a 70 year organization focused on airline safety management and its related process.
IIT Madras and ENAC have the same agenda of imparting education and skill and to help the community in general and the country as a whole, said IIT Madras director.
He further said our relationship will touch every passenger flying in and out of India and we are delighted to be part of such an initiative.
There is a need for a consistent way of education and skill as the volume of travel increases frequently and associated challenges to the safety of the industry.
We strongly believe that our workforces leverage this program and equip themselves to help travellers, said IIT Madras director.
Ø Faculty will be traveling from France to conduct the courses all throughout the program

Civil Aviation is one of the fastest growing industries in the last two decades. Digitization has shrunk the world bringing in huge benefits for the travel industry, said CTO of IITMPTF.
The Airline industry’s exponential growth comes with its own set of challenges. It is highly regulated and requires standards and consistency of rules/regulations along with robust and clean processes to assure safety to millions of passengers worldwide, he said.
The CTO of IITMPTF further said this course provided by ENAC and IITMPTF targets working professionals from the industry on safety management and has been exclusively brought to the Indian market.
It will ensure all our travel is spot-free. There are numerous business units that work seamlessly with each other in the airline industry to give the best experiences to travellers, he said.
