IITM AA has launched ‘Mission Million Smiles’ initiative to create a positive impact on the lives of at least one million people in India and the rest of the world in two years. The Association seeks to channelize the energy, resources and commitment of its alumni in achieving this objective.

It is interesting to note that IITM AA has a total of 53,825 members, including 22,179 Under Graduates and 31,646 Post Graduates.

Key objectives
IITM AA president Krishnan Narayanan highlighted the key objectives behind the new mission. ‘We are inspired by our Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Mann Ki Baat address last year on the importance of alumni associations to the nation.’

IITM AA president further said IITM AA ecosystem, comprising over 50,000 alumni, students and faculty, has the potential, knowledge and skills, and resources to become a powerful change agent.

Initiatives
The societal impact initiatives of IITM AA will focus on areas such as Science, Technology and Innovation interventions for the nation, mentoring students, water and sustainability, and Women in STEM.

‘The three pillars of focus for IIT Madras Alumni Association are Community Spirit, Thought Leadership, and Societal Impact.’

We will be working with our alumni located across the world – through our 7 chapters in India, and multiple chapters in the United States, Singapore, and Europe – to kindle community spirit and deliver societal impact, said Shyamala Rajaram.

Coming two years
IIT Madras Alumni Association has planned couple of activities which would be taken up in the coming two years. The initiatives are:

Ø Conduct the ‘I For IITM’ event in a hybrid mode, involving more than 5,000 alumni across 125 cities in 15 countries to celebrate the Foundation Day of IIT Madras.

Ø Under our “Guru Talks” and “Engineering Simplified” series, the IIT Madras faculty will create short, engaging lectures on cutting-edge research and technologies like AI, quantum computing and extra-terrestrial manufacturing.

Ø IITM AA’s ‘Thought Leaders Council’ brings together 12 eminent alumni from across the world to an interdisciplinary forum that will identify a few STI big-bets for India.

Ø Implement the ‘Impact4Bharat’ alumni engagement model for societal impact projects.

Ø Sangam, the flagship event, will be themed this year on ‘Restoring Balance – Women in Leadership and STEM.’ IITM AA is anchoring the chapter for Society of Women Engineers in South India and will champion the causes of 1) Inspiring girl-child and women-students in STEM and 2) Women in leadership and entrepreneurship.

TG EAPCET 2025 registration is taking place from 1 March to 4 April 2025 without late fee at ‘https://eapcet.tgche.ac.in/’.

Those who pay late fee of Rs 250 can submit application till 9 April 2025.

Registration was to start on 25 February 2025 as per the earlier schedule, that was changed to 1 March 2025.

It is to note that that TG EAPCET is also known as TG EAMCET or TS EAMCET.

Students take up TG EAPCET 2025 registration at the official website, as the application submission process is opened.

The notification has been released recently, TG EAPCET 2025 for agriculture and pharmacy will be conducted on 29 and 30 April 2025. The same for engineering will be held from 2 to 5 May 2025.

The courses mentioned above are popularly known as BE/BTech./B.Pharmacy/BSc Agri and the score in TG EAPCET 2025 will be considered while providing admission into them.

JNTU Hyderabad is conducting the test on behalf of the Telangana State Higher Education Council (TSCHE).

Individuals have to pass TG EAPCET 2025 with minimum qualifying marks also known as cutoff scores.

They are the minimum marks candidates have to score in the exam to be eligible for further process.

Scores of the candidates in TG EAPCET 2025 must be either greater than the cutoff marks or equal to them to be eligible for further process.

What is the TG EAPCET 2025 Exam?

The full name is Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture & Medical (Pharmacy, Veterinary etc.,) Common Entrance Test. It is a state-level entrance test that is conducted once a year. TG EAMCET 2025 is meant to be conducted this year (2025).

It is now known as Telangana Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test which is popular in its shorter version TG EAPCET.

TG EAPCET 2025 will be conducted online where answers have to be marked on a computer. The format of questions is multiple choice, where each question will have more than one option and the right one has to be chosen to get the marks.

The exam has questions related to mathematics, physics and chemistry for those applying for engineering courses.

Students aiming for agriculture, pharmacy or nursing courses have to answer questions related to biology, physics and chemistry.

The questions will be from lessons taught in these subjects regularly at the class 12 level in recognized educational institutions.

Who can take up TG EAPCET 2025 registration?

The eligibility to take up TG EAPCET 2025 registration is a pass in plus-two in the science stream. Subjects in plus-two must be maths, physics and chemistry for students willing to join engineering.

Candidates aiming for pharmacy, and agriculture should have passed plus-two with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects. The applicants must be a native of Telangana or Andhra Pradesh.

Those taking up TG EAPCET 2025 registration must have at least 45% and 40% (for Unreserved and reserved categories respectively) in the plus-two exam.

The candidates should satisfy local/non–local status requirements as laid down in the Telangana /Andhra Pradesh Education Institutions (Regulations of Admission) order, 1974 as subsequently amended.

How to take up TG EAPCET 2025 registration?

The process to take up TG EAPCET 2025 registration is online and candidates have to visit the official website of the exam to submit applications. The URL to reach it is ‘https://eapcet.tsche.ac.in/’

The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser of the computer and the website has to be allowed to download.

Once the webpage is available, those willing to take up TG EAPCET 2025 registration have to click the required link and pay the registration fee and obtain the confirmation number.

Once the confirmation number is obtained, candidates can click the link for filling out the application form and start providing all the information on that.

The application has to be filled out and submitted. Post submission, candidates can obtain a confirmation message indicating successful submission. Once obtained, applicants can download it and take a printout of it.
