MoU

MoU (Memorandum of Understanding) was signed on 28 August 2024 by Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, and Prof. Rajeev Ahuja, Director, IIT Ropar.

Also present were Prof Prathap Haridoss, Dean (Academic Courses), IIT Madras, Prof. Andrew Thangaraj and Prof. Vignesh Muthuvijayan, Coordinators, BS Degree, IIT Madras, and other faculty.

The Highlights of the collaboration between IIT Ropar and IIT Madras include:

Ø Direct admission for select IITM BS (Data Science) Degree Students to the MS program at IIT Ropar without GATE

Ø IITM BS Degree Students can spend upto a year at IIT Ropar

Ø IITM BS Degree Students can apply for Research Programs offered by IIT Ropar in the summer

Ø IITM BS Degree Students can pursue projects and internships under IIT Ropar faculty

Prof. V. Kamakoti, Director, IIT Madras, said, as the BS degree programs of IIT Madras intends to democratise higher educational opportunity for all.

This move by IIT Ropar to admit exceptional students in the BS programs of IITM to postgraduate degree programs at IIT Ropar is a very visionary step and will go a long way in building strong careers for deserving students especially from Rural India, he said.

Course

IIT Madras introduced its 4-year BS in Data Science and Applications in June 2020. This unique program offers high-quality training through online content delivery and in-person assessments.

As on date, more than 30,000 students are actively involved in this program, contributing to a vibrant and interactive learning environment.

Working

IIT Madras has been working closely with other premier institutions in the country to enable in-person learning opportunities for students at the final year of the program.

IIT Gandhinagar and Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI) have already opened their campus courses for eligible students of the IIT Madras BS (Data Science) degree.

This MoU establishes the groundwork for a series of initiatives that will benefit both organizations and serve as a benchmark for future collaborations.

Ø Credit transfer from in-person courses at IIT Ropar: IIT Madras BS (Data Science) students who meet the eligibility criteria may complete their credit requirements by taking courses at IIT Ropar, facilitating an exchange of academic resources and expertise.

Ø MS admission pathway: IIT Madras BS (Data Science) graduates who achieve a specified CGPA will be eligible for direct admission to the MS program at IIT Ropar without the need for GATE scores.

Ø Access to IIT Madras BS (Data Science) courses for IIT Ropar students: The MoU also enables IIT Ropar UG students to study courses on data science and programming that are offered in the IIT Madras BS program, thus providing equitable opportunity for all students to gain these cutting edge skills.

Ø Additional student exchange programs, internship opportunities, and other collaborative initiatives will also be supported.

Submission started on 25 March 2027. Those who submit AP LAWCET 2025 application till from 25 March to 27 April 2025 need not pay the late fee.

This is about the exam to be taken for admission into graduate law courses in colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Notification in connection with AP LAWCET Application Submission was released on 22 March 2025.

AP LAWCET 2025 Registration schedule

AP LAWCET 2025 registration schedule is the time duration during which students can apply for the exam, make corrections in the application form submitted, pay registration fee and so on. Submission started on 25 March 2025 and last date to apply without any late fee payment is 27 April 2025.

Students can take up AP LAWCET 2025 registration from 26 April to 3 May 2024 on payment of Rs 500 as late fee. They can apply for the exam from 4 to 11 May 2024 on the payment of Rs 1000 as late fee.

AP LAWCET 2025 registration can be done from 28-04-2025 to 04-05-2025 with a late fee of Rs 1000, as per AP LAWCET 2025 registration schedule.

The late fee to pay if submitted between 05-05-2025 to 11-05-2025 is Rs 2000. Students can take up AP LAWCET 2025 registration with a late fee of Rs 4000 from 12-05-2025 to 18-05-2025.

AP LAWCET 2025 registration can be done with a late fee for Rs 10000 from 19-05-2025 to 25-05-2025.

Correction in AP LAWCET 2025 applications already submitted can be done from 30 May 2025 onwards. Hall tickets would be available for download from 30 May 2025 onwards.

Exam will be conducted on 5 June 2025 from 9 AM to 10:30 AM. The result announcement will be done on 22 June 2025.

What is AP LAWCET 2025 Exam?

The full name of AP LAWCET is Andhra Pradesh Law Common Entrance Test. It is a state-level exam conducted once a year. AP LAWCET 2025 is meant to be held in 2025.

AP LAWCET 2025 is conducted in online mode and answers have to be registered on a computer screen provided at the test center. The test has to be passed with the required qualifying marks to be eligible for the next process.

Post passing the exams, candidates have to visit the websites of various participating institutions and know the schedule for submitting applications for admissions.

Once the schedule is known, students must submit applications there along with AP LAWCET 2025 scores and other required documents.

The questions in the exam will be related to General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Law Study Aptitude, and Mental Ability for AP LAWCET 2025.

For studying 5 year law courses, applicants must have passed plus two from a recognized education institution. The plus two can be from any stream as per AP LAWCET 2025 registration eligibility criteria.

Those keen on LLB course must have passed graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution.

Students who have appeared for the final exams of their qualifying degree and are waiting for the results or are about to appear for final exams can also take up AP LAWCET 2025 registration.

However, they have to pass the exam and provide proof of it by the time of admission process commencement.

AP LAWCET 2025 registration process can be completed online. Candidates have to visit the official website at ‘https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET/LAWCET/LAWCET_HomePage.aspx’

1. The URL mentioned above must be typed into the browser and then submitted to allow the website to download.

2. Once the website is ready, candidates have to click the button Step – 1 Eligibility Criteria And Fee Payment

3. Clicking the above button will open another webpage with URL ‘https://cets.apsche.ap.gov.in/LAWCET/LAWCET/LAWCET_PaymentGatewaypage.aspx’

4. Once the webpage with above URL is available, AP LAWCET 2025 registration fee must be paid.

5. Once the confirmation number is obtained, candidates can click the link for filling out the AP LAWCET 2025 Application form and submit it.

6. Post submission, candidates can obtain a confirmation message indicating successful submission. Once obtained, applicants can download it and take a printout of it.

Process to obtain hall ticket is mentioned below for the sake of the students:

1. The URL mentioned above has to be typed into the browser and the website should be allowed to download.

2. Once the webpage is available, candidates can click the link for the hall ticket and then enter their username and password and submit them to obtain the hall ticket.

3. The admit card can be downloaded and then a printout of it has to be taken. Applicants have to appear for the exam at the designated test center with the hall ticket.
