IIT Jammu invites applications for jobs – There is a happy news once again for job seekers, thanks to Indian Institute of Technology Jammu (IIT-Jammu). The prestigious educational institution has invited applications from eligible job seekers for about 39 vacancies in the non-teaching section.
Sources say, the vacancies are in both technical and non-technical units of the institute. The jobs in the technical unit are scientific officer, technical officer, assistant executive engineer, assistant engineer, junior technical superintendent, junior engineer.
Sources further say, engineers and technicians can apply for posts in the technical unit which has about 26 vacancies. The list of the vacancies are scientific officer – 1, technical officer – 2, assistant executive engineer (electrical) – 1, assistant engineer (civil) – 1, junior technical superintendent – 16, junior engineer (civil) – 1, and senior laboratory assistant – 4.
Candidates must logon to the offical website of IIT-Jammu to apply for the vacancies. The website for applying is ‘https://iitjammu.ac.in/staff-recruitment’ Job aspirants can visit the website and go through the eligibility conditions and ensure they are have required eligibility for applying for the respective post. Once ensured they can go ahead with applying for the posts.
Candidates also must pay a non-refundable fee of Rs 1000 or Rs 500 based on the post they are going to apply. The candidates from SC, ST and PWD categories need not pay any application fee. Candidates can visit the website mentioned earlier and click on the respective link mentioned there and register using a valid email address.
Candidates are advised to use their personal email address as it the most accessible to them at all times. This may not be the case with regards to company or organisational emails. The information about every stage of recruitment would be sent to the email which has to be accessible to the candidates at all times.
Once registered candidates can activate the login and begin filling the application form. After filling the application form, candidates have to upload their photograph in Jpeg format which should be of 500 KB in size and also upload the photo of their signature in Jpeg format and size of this should be 250 KB.

For those candidates form whom Category certificate is applicable have to upload category certificate also.

Once the application is uploaded along with the required documents, a PDF profile along with the registration number is generated and candidates must save the profile along with the registration number.
