IIT-H Admission 2020 is all about applying for M.Tech in ‘Smart Mobility.’ The course is being offered by IIT-H in association with DST-NM-ICPS Technology Innovation Hub (TIH) on Autonomous Navigation and Data Acquisition Systems. The course which is being offered under IIT-H Admission 2020 is of two year duration.
Eligibility for Smart Mobility
Applicants willing to seek entry into this course through IIT-H Admission 2020 must be having a degree in BTech, BE, MSc or their equivalents from a recognised educational institution along with GATE Score in AE/AR/CE/CS/EC/EE/IN/MA/ME/PI/XE/ST.
The applicant must have already completed the degree or should be in the final year of respective studies. In the latter, it would be assumed that the candidate will be able to complete the degree by the time of M. Tech admission.
Modes of Admission
IIT-H Admission 2020 for M.Tech in Smart Mobility has three methods. The first mode of entry in IIT-H Admission 2020 is for candidates supported by TIH. These candidates must have GATE score or they should be a BTech from an IIT with a CGPA of 8.0 or more.
The second mode of IIT-H Admission 2020 is for the candidates who are working in a public industry or any Government research laboratory. These candidates must be having a BTech degree and a work experience of two years.
The third mode of entry in IIT-H Admission 2020 is that of self sponseored student entry. These applicants must have a first class in BTech degree.
The selection method
Applicants for IIT-H Admission 2020 being sponsored by industry or well-known laboratories will be selected through a written test and an interview.
Self sponsored student applicants for IIT-H Admission 2020 will also be selected based on a written test and an interview.
Curriculum for Smart Mobility
The subject will have theory courses, lab courses and M.Tech thesis. Theory courses comprises of compulsory core courses and a wide range of elective courses.
A few of the subjects that would be taught during the two year post graduate course are Autonomous Navigation, Basics of Machine Learning, Internet of Things (IoT), Intelligent Transportation Systems, Additive Manufacturing Lab.
Among the core electives offered for this subject are Highway Geometric Design, Traffic Engineering, Environment Impact Assessment and Scaling to Big Data.

Applicants can register for IIT-H Admission 2020 through online method. They have to visit the official website of IIT-Hyderabad ‘https://iith.ac.in/mtechadmissions/’ Candidates with valid GATE score must register with COAPS portal before they begin applying for the course.
Candidates with GATE score have to register the COAP number while applying for MTech.
