Admission process and selection
Students aiming for BTech at IIT Goa have to pass JEE Mains exam which is usually conducted two times a year and have to pass it with a rank that comes within the top 2.5 lakhs on the national level to appear for JEE Advanced.
Students have to pass JEE Advanced with the required qualifying marks and then apply for counseling that will be conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) where they have to choose IIT Goa to study the course of their choice.

Applicants for MTech must pass the GATE exam with the required score and then register at Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). After successful registration in COAP, the candidate has to register in the M.tech application portal of IIT Goa.
Candidates can access the offers made from IIT Goa in COAP and IIT Goa online M.Tech. application portal during the time window mentioned in COAP. Applicants for Ph.D. must appear for a written test and pass it with the required qualifying marks to take part in the interview.
