Eligibility
Students focusing on BTech at IIT Goa must have passed plus two recognized educational institutions anywhere in India with mathematics, physics, and chemistry as subjects. Candidates who have passed graduation in the relevant engineering discipline can apply for MTech. Candidates who have passed postgraduation in the relevant discipline can apply for Ph.D. at IIT Goa.
Admission process and selection
Students aiming for BTech at IIT Goa have to pass JEE Mains exam which is usually conducted two times a year and have to pass it with a rank that comes within the top 2.5 lakhs on the national level to appear for JEE Advanced.
Students have to pass JEE Advanced with the required qualifying marks and then apply for counseling that will be conducted by JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) where they have to choose IIT Goa to study the course of their choice.

Applicants for MTech must pass the GATE exam with the required score and then register at Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP). After successful registration in COAP, the candidate has to register in the M.tech application portal of IIT Goa.
Candidates can access the offers made from IIT Goa in COAP and IIT Goa online M.Tech. application portal during the time window mentioned in COAP. Applicants for Ph.D. must appear for a written test and pass it with the required qualifying marks to take part in the interview.
The selection for BTech and MTech at IIT Goa is based on performance in written tests, performance in the qualifying exam, choice of the course by candidates, and availability of seats. How to apply?
The process to apply for JEE Mains is online, candidates have to apply for it on the website of the exam hosted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates have to click the link for registration on the official website and create an account with a username and password.
Post account creation, candidates can log in and then fill out the application form for JEE Mains, pay the registration fees and submit the application. The process for applying for JEE Advanced and GATE is also the same, applications can be submitted on the respective official websites of the exam which will be made operational at the appropriate time.
