About the exam
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSEB) conducts this exam which is also known as Gujarat Common Entrance Test.
Candidates who pass GUJCET 2021 with good scores can get admission into engineering and pharmacy courses in colleges located across Gujarat.
Important dates
GUJCET 2021 was open for application submission on June 23 this year and last date to submit application was July 14.
The date for release of admit card for GUJCET 2021 is to be announced in due course. The date of conducting the exam is August 6.

Eligibility
Candidates who passed plus-two from any recognised institution could apply for GUJCET 2021.
Applicants keen on engineering admission had to pass plus-two with maths, physics and chemistry as subjects.
Students keen on pharmacy admission through GUJCET 2021 had to pass plus-two with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects.
Exam pattern
The exam will be conducted in offline mode and the duration to answer questions in GUJCET 2021 is three hours.
The question paper for the exam is available in Hindi, Gujarati and English and students can choose the medium keeping in mind their convenience.
Every correct answer in GUJCET 2021 will have one mark and a wrong answer will lead to deduction of 0.25 marks.
Candidates have to exert great care while answering questions.
The time available for this would be 120 minutes.
The question papers for maths and biology will be separate and each subject will have 40 questions. The time provided to complete each paper is 60 minutes.
Point to remember
Students who choose engineering admission have to answer question from maths, physics and chemistry in GUJCET 2021.
Applicants who wish to gain admission in pharmacy courses have to answer questions from biology, physics and chemistry in GUJCET 2021.
The questions will be from the lessons in above subjects usually taught at recognised plus-two institutions across the country.

Hard work with determination alone can get success in any exam and GUJCET 2021 is not an exception. Here are a few tips that would help students strengthen preparation for the exam:
(A) Start preparation early. This will allow students to focus on all topics of relevance. They will have enough time for all subjects.
(B) Prepare a study timetable. This provides clarity for the students when it comes to the issue of allotting time for each subject. There should be enough time for both study and revision.
(C) Take mock tests. Mock tests will tell the students as to where they stand when it comes their knowledge of various lessons. The level of their proficiency will be revealed. Also they will get used to solving the problems in right time frame.
