Educational Initiatives has announced the launch of its flagship Asset Mentorship Programme 2020 (AMP) for students and this will focus on building skill sets among the students with the personal support of mentors.
Educational Initiatives is a leading edtech company in India and AMP is an online programme that is designed to guide aspiring students through the crucial years of academic development and help them make informed decisions about their higher education.
The mentoship programme of Educational Initiatives will recognise the strengths, weakpoints and interests of students and provides them with the required assistance for standardised test preparation.
AMP of Educational Initiatives is designed in such a way that it will develop extra curricular and leadership skills in students and help them in laying a good connection between the universities taking into consideration their career choice.

AMP of Educational Initiatives will have three parts. While the first two parts of the programme by Educational Initiatives are for students of classes 6 to 9.
The other two parts of programme by Educational Initiatives are for students of classes 7 to 12. The duration of the all three parts of AMP by Educational Initiatives is 28 to 32 weeks.
The first part of the programme of Educational Initiatives is titled ‘Critical Thinking Skills for Information Age.’ The features of this are that it aims to make students self-regulated learners.
It also has assignments shared that cultivate the habits of reading, comprehension, understanding the deeper meaning and integrated approach.
The other feature is that these assignments also cover various learning aspects from daily routines, ethical aspects, to mathematical and scientific thinking.
The second part of AMP of Educational Initiatives is titled ‘College Guidance for University Success’ and the features of this are that it explores subjects that eventually become learning goals, looking at subjects through the lenses of careers, be it Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Economics, or Psychology.

The other feature of the second part of the AMP is that it understands the connections of these in real world for education and building a career path.
The third part of the AMP is titled ‘Mastering Writing for University Success’ and the features of this are that it explores the path of international college admissions.
It also focuses on mastering the reflective writing skills that help in admissions and financial assistance.
After completing this AMP, students will be able to self reflect and have an idea of the steps they need to take during high school to work towards their aspirations.
The programme by Educational-Initiatives will be delivered on the ‘Edmodo’ platform, to enable mentors to share assignments, and manage communication with students.

Three graduates of IIM Ahmedabad Sridhar Sudhir and Venkat quit their jobs that were highly paid at TATA IBM, ITW Signode and Sony Entertainment to start Eklavya School in Ahmedabad with an aim to help children learn with understanding.
However they soon realised that opening one model school will not be enough and more had to be done as lot of students are trapped in a rote learning system.
It was in 2001 that they co-founded Educational Initiatives (EI) with an aim to develop products and services based on research and assessment that can measure how children are learning. The first investor in the company was Srini Raghavan.
