EAPCET 2021: Great registration to start from June 26
EAPCET 2021 registration is about to begin from June 26 and students seeking admission into engineering, agriculture and pharmacy courses can apply.
This exam was formerly known as EAMCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test).
Students seeking admission into engineering or medical colleges in Andhra Pradesh had to prepare for EAMCET.
Admission into medical colleges is based on NEET score currently.
And, EAMCET now has been rechristened as EAPCET (Engineering, Agriculture and Pharmacy Common Entrance Test).
EAPCET 2021 is the exam being conducted for this year. The test date this year for this well-known exam is from 19 to 25 August.
About EAPCET 2021 exam
EAPCET 2021 will be conducted by Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University – Kakinada (JNTU – Kakinada) on behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE).
Students keen on engineering, agriculture or pharmacy course admissions have to pass this exam.
This is a state level exam whose score will help get admission in over 17 government and 300 private colleges located across Andhra Pradesh.
This test is still popularly known as EAMCET or AP EAMCET.
Eligibility
Applicants targeting EAPCET 2021 must have passed plus-two from a recognised educational institution with 40 to 55 percent passmarks in plus-two exams which are also known as intermediate exams or Pre-University Course (PUC).
The applicants must be a domicile of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.
Applicants desiring to enroll in biotechnology, food or dairy technology oriented engineering courses have to pass plus-two with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects preferably.
Pharmacy
Pharmacy course aspirants should have passed plus-two with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects.
Agriculture
Students desiring to gain admission into agriculture through EAPCET 2021 must have passed plus-two preferably with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects.
Point to remember
Students who are appearing for their plus-two exams can also apply for EAPCET 2021.
However, they should have passed the qualifying exam by the time the admission process commences.
Applicants who have completed or who are about to appear for Diploma in Engineering courses exams can also apply.
Diploma in Pharmacy candidates can also apply for Pharm-D course through EAPCET 2021.
How to apply
Process to submit applications for EAPCET 2021 is online.
Students have to visit the official website of EAPCET 2021 ‘https://apsche.ap.gov.in/index.php’ and click the appropriate link for registration.
Individuals have to click the link and register themselves. Post registration process, the first thing to do is to pay the application fee.
Post payment and obtaining the respective confirmation, applicants can commence filling the application form for EAPCET 2021.
The required information has to be provided while filling the form, needed documents have to be uploaded and the form has to be submitted.
The documents to be uploaded while filling the form are 10th class marksheets, class 12 marksheets (if available), community certificate (if applicable), photo of the candidate and scanned image of candidate’s signature. Point to remember
The link for registering and applying for EAPCET 2021 will be activated on the official website by June 26. A seperate website could also be floated for candidates who wish to register for EAPCET 2021. However, the link for that would be highlighted on the official website of APSCHE at ‘https://apsche.ap.gov.in/’
Registration fee
Candidates have to pay the registration fee of Rs 529 (Rs 500+Rs 29 as processing fee) if they choose either engineering or agriculture and medical.
Applicants choosing both engineering and agriculture and medical branches have to pay Rs 1000 and a processing fee of Rs 59.
Important dates
The notification will be released on 24 June and registration for EAPCET 2021 will begin on June 26.
The last date to submit applications is July 25. The last date to submit applications with a payment of Rs 500 as late fee is July 26.
The same to submit with a late fee payment of Rs 1000 is 6 to 10 August.
EAPCET 2021 will be conducted from 19 to 25 August.

Exam pattern
EAPCET 2021 is a computer based test which will be conducted for three hours and has 160 questions.
The questions are related to lessons in Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Maths taught at plus-two level.
There will be 40 questions in Physics, 40 questions in Chemistry and 80 questions in Mathematics or Biology. The question format is multiple choice. There is no provision for negative marking in EAPCET 2021.
