CUSAT CAT 2021: Great application process has begun
CUSAT CAT 2021 registration has commenced and students who want to study various courses offered by Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) can apply for this test.
CUSAT conducts Common Admission Test (CAT) to admit students into various courses it offers.

CAT for this year will be conducted on 12,13, and 14 June across various centres in the country.
Courses
CUSAT offers various courses in different streams at undergraduate and post graduate levels.
Among the engineering programmes offered are Civil Engineering, Marine Engineering, Safety and Fire Engineering.
The regular science programmes at post graduate level offered here are Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and others.
Three year LLB and MBA and two year LLM are also among the courses offered at CUSAT.
Candidates seeking admission into these programmes have to pass CUSAT CAT 2021 which is expanded into Cochin University of Science and Technology Common Admission Test 2021.

Eligibility
The condition of eligibility to apply for CUSAT CAT 2021 depends on the course candidates wishes to seek admission through the test.
Applicants targeting engineering courses of undergraduate level have to be a pass in plus-two with maths, physics, chemistry as subjects.
Applicants aiming for admission into other undergraduate courses through CUSAT CAT 2021 must be a pass in plus-two..
Individuals targeting admission into post graduation courses through CUSAT CAT 2021 must have passed the bachelor’s degree in the discipline he or she wishes to study post graduation.

Also applicants who have scores in CAT/KMAT/CMAT exams can apply for MBA courses.
These candidates will be selected based on CAT/KMAT/CMAT and their performance in group discussion and interview.
Individuals applying for masters in engineering (MTech) courses must have valid GATE score.
Those with no GATE score have to apply for DAT (Department Assessment Test) which will be conducted by the department of the university which teaches the course applicant wants to study.
How to apply
Applicants willing to apply for CUSAT CAT 2021 must remember that the method to apply is online.
Applications sent to the university through any other means for CUSAT CAT 2021 will not be accepted.
Applicants for CUSAT CAT 2021 must visit the official website ‘https://admissions.cusat.ac.in/’ and scroll down the page to see a button ‘New Candidate Registration’
Individuals have to click ‘New Candidate Registration’ and commence the process of registration to obtain username and password.
Post obtaining the username and password, candidates must comeback to the website ‘https://admissions.cusat.ac.in/’ and login using the username and password obtained during registration.
Once logged in, indivduals can start applying for CUSAT CAT 2021.
Applicants must provide the required information while applying for CUSAT CAT 2021.
After the information is provided, candidates have to choose the course they are applying for, pay the registration fee and select the exam centre.
Post providing all the information, applicants can finally submit the application for CUSAT CAT 2021 exam.
Point to remember
Candidates applying for MBA must also upload the required KMAT/CMAT/IIM ‐ CAT scores.
Applicants for MTech courses through CUSAT CAT 2021 must upload their GATE score while filling the application form.
Candidates seeking admission into PhD/PDF/Diploma/Certificate programmes offered by CUSAT need not register online for CUSAT CAT 2021.
These applicants can approach the departments concerned at CUSAT and obtain the application form.
Registration fee
Applicants of CUSAT CAT 2021 must pay Rs 1,100 if they are opting State Merit/All India Quota seats (other than NRI/International/PIO/Children of Indian Gulf Workers).
The registration fee for Kerala SC/Kerala ST candidates is Rs 500.
International candidates and Persons of Indian Origin applying for CUSAT CAT 2021 must pay USD 100.
Applicants for CUSAT CAT 2021 who are children of Indian Gulf Workers the fee is Rs 6,100 and if children of Indian Gulf Workers applying for CUSAT CAT 2021 are Kerala SC/Kerala STs, they have to pay Rs 5500.
Important dates
The registration for CUSAT CAT 2021 for all courses except PhD and diploma programmes began on 10 March.
The last date to submit application is 31 March without fine and the same by paying fine is 7 April.
The registration process for seats reserved for international candidates in connection with CUSAT CAT 2021 exam also began on 10 March.
The last date for registration for seats reserved for international candidates is 30 April.
Individuals targeting MBA can apply from 10 March to 31 May.
Applicants targeting MTech admissions through CUSAT CAT 2021 have to apply from 10 March to 21 April without paying fine.
Candidates submitting after 21 April have to pay fine and can submit with fine till 30 April.
Applicants for PhD or Diploma courses can obtain applications from departments concerned from 10 March and submit them till 15 April.
Admit cards will be available for download in connection with CUSAT CAT 2021 from 25 May to 14 June.
The number of questions will be about 250 and the duration to answer them is three hours.
Each correct answer will fetch three marks and a wrong answer would deduct one mark.
Applicants for undergraduate engineering courses can concentrate on maths, physics and chemistry of plus-two level for CUSAT CAT.
Candidates focusing on law, management and commerce courses at undergraduation level through CUSAT CAT exam can focus on general knowledge and current affairs, law related subjects, reasoning ability and logical thinking.
Undergraduate law admission aspirants can also focus on legal aptitude, english, comprehension ability to prepare for CAT.
Applicants aspring for law admission at post graduate level can focus on subjects like mathematics, logical reasoning along with law subjects of undergraduation level.
