CUCET Exam 2020: Great error rectification begins from 7 June
CUCET Exam 2020, CUCET applicants this year will get an opportunity to correct the mistakes made while filling the application form from 7 June. The facility to make corrections in CUCET Application will be available till 9 June.
Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is a test conducted for admission to various courses offered by 14 Central Universities of Assam, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Haryana, Jammu, Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, South Bihar and Tamilnadu.
Admission through CUCET Exam 2020 can be sought in the above mentioned educational institution in graduate, post graduate and research programmes.
The last date for filling the application form for CUCET Exam 2020 was extended till 6 June this year. The coordinating university for CUCET Exam 2020 is Central University of Rajasthan.
A link will be provided on the official website of CUCET Exam 2020 from 7 June onwards. Candidates can visit the official website for the exam at ‘https://cucetexam.in/’ to undertake corrections in the application form.
Soon after the required page downloads, applicants for CUCET Exam 2020 have to click the link ‘Edit Application Form’ written in white colour on green background.
After the link is clicked a page with the link ‘https://cucetexam.in/CUCET2020/RecPages/UserLogin16.aspx’ is downloaded.
Candidates have to now use the credentials to login. The credentials in this case are Application ID and date of birth.
The credentials would have been created while applying for the CUCET Exam 2020 in the past. Applicants must login using the same credentials to undertake corrections in the information provided in the application form while filling it in the past.
Corrections with regards to Name, Email ID, Category, Date of Birth, Mobile Number cannot be made.
Applicants must keep their original copies of their certificates, marksheets so that corrections could be taken up with utmost accuracy.
Even candidates who feel no necessity of taking corrections also can login and using their credentials to check for mistakes. In case if they find any errors, they can be corrected.
Candidates have to ensure that they do nothing in hurry, as another rectification opportunity may not be provided.
Registration for CUCET Exam 2020 began on 16 March this year. The admit cards for the exam were supposed to be issued on 18 May now they will be issued on another date as the examination days for CUCET Exam 2020 were postponed.
The exam was supposed to be held on 30 and 31 May in offline mode for undergraduate programmes (UI) and post graduate programmes (PG). The entrance test for research programmes (RP) was to take place on 6 and 7 June in online mode.
While the above mentioned exam dates were as per the old schedule, the new schedule will be declared shortly.
Applicants for CUCET Exam 2020 are required to watch their email id and mobile number provided while filling the form for the exam so that they can receive the updates regarding the exam and admission process on them.
Candidates must be sure not to activate do not disturb feature on their mobile phones in particular so as fail to receive the updates.
Question paper for CUCET Exam 2020 will be in multiple choice format. The CUCET Exam 2020 question paper for undergraduate and graduate course aspirants will have Part A and Part B.
Part A for UG and PG admissions will have questions related to language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude and analytical skills comprising of 25 questions.
Part B will have domain Knowledge – comprising of 75 multiple choice questions. Domain knowledge means questions related to the subject in which the candidates is seeking either graduate or post graduate admission. This part may consist of three/four/five sections.
Each section will have 25 questions. A candidate is required to answer a set of any three sections (75 questions). For admission to some integrated programmes like MBA/LLB/MCA or any other general programme, only one paper comprising of 100 multiple choice questions will be asked.
Questions will be related to english language, reasoning, data interpretations/numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills.
The applicants have to choose only the right answer, should they make more than one choice the answer will be marked as wrong one and will lead to negative marking.
The duration to answer each paper is two hours. The entrance test conducted for students seeking admission into research programmes also have Part A and Part B.
Part A will have 50 multiple choice questions related to Language, general awareness, mathematical aptitude, analytical skills and Research Methodology.
Part B will have questions related to domain knowledge and will also have 50 questions. There will be no negative marking in research program (RP) exam and applicant will have to choose one correct answer by clicking on the bubble in computer screen. Each paper will be only of two hours duration.
