CSIR UGC NET 2020, applicants wishing to apply for this exam can do it without category, result certificates. National Testing Agency (NTA) which conducts the exam is said to have taken this decision keeping in view the present COVID-19 situation.
Amidst Corona virus outbreak many candidates may find it difficult to obtain category certificates and result certificate.

Union HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ is said to have tweeted requesting NTA to provide relaxation with regards to uploading category certificate and result certificate.
Soon NTA, the agency which conducts the exam has released the notification in this regard. Candidates from special categories like SC, ST, OBC, EWS and PWD have to upload their category certificate and result certificate. And, every other applicant must upload the result certificate, that is the result indicating they have passed the qualifying exam.
And, obtaining these two have become difficult as many have to either write their qualification exam or their exam evaluation would have been postponed owing to COVID-19 situation.
However, while applicants for CSIR UGC NET 2020 can sumbit applications, they must keep it in mind that the attempts to procure the result and category certificates must be made soon, so that they can be produced on demand at the appropriate time.

Candidates for CSIR UGC NET 2020 can upload their photograph, image of their signature along with other information in the application form as of now.
The applicants for CSIR UGC NET 2020 must remember that the last date of submitting the application for this exam has been extended taking into consideration, corona virus outbreak situation.

About the exam
CSIR UGC NET Exam 2020 is about determining eligibility of the candidates for award of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and for appointing as lecturer in the subjects Chemical Sciences, Earth sciences, Atmospheric Science, Ocean Science and Planetary Sciences, Life Sciences, Mathematical Sciences and Physical Sciences.
CSIR UGC NET Exam 2020 is for those candidates who wish to become lecturers in the above mentioned subjects or pursue research in topics related to these subjects.
CSIR UGC NET Exam 2020 registration began on 16 March and the last date to register for the exam is 15 May after the revision. Before revision the date was 15 April.
