Class 10 and 12 board exams is about the schedule per which various states in India will be conducting the board exams.
The academic arena witnessed lot of hinderance when it came to conducting class 10 and 12 board exams during the last year.
Among the states to have announced the class 10 and 12 board exams dates are Bihar, Goa, Assam and Haryana.
It is interesting to note that Bihar will be the state to first conduct class 10 and 123 board exams this year.
Sources tracking the developments in the education arena of this nation say, board exam in Bihar will begin on February 1.
Class 10 and 12 board exams
Bihar has already begun conducting practical exams on 9 January this year.
It is to recollect that Union Education Minister RP Nishank announced the dates for class 10 and 12 board exams for CBSE.
They would begin from 4 May and end on 10 June.
And many states have also come out with the dates for class 10 and 12 board exams for this year, more or less at the same time.
As far as class 10 and 12 board exams in Telangana are concerned, sources say, Telangana School Education Department has announced that SSC exams will be conducted from May 17 to 26.
Gujarat is also active on the education front. It is leaving no stone unturned to ensure exams are conducted without any hassles.
Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board is said to be planning to conduct class 10 and 12 board exams from May 10 or May 17.
A ideal one of the above two dates would be chosen, schedule for class 10 and 12 board exams will likely be announced next week.
Class 10 and 12 board exams this year could witness a registration of about 10 lakh and 5 five lakh students respectively in Gujarat, say sources.
Assam will conduct the practical exams for classes 10 and 12 from 4 to 5 March, class 10 and 12 board exams will be from May 11 to June 1 for 10th standard and May 12 onwards for 12th standard.
Bihar will be conducting its class 10 and 12 board exams from February 17 to 24 (10th standard) and February 1 to 13 (12th standard).
While the dates for practical exams in connection with class 10 and 12 board exams are yet to be known in Chattisgarh, class 10 exams will be held from April 15 to May 1.
The exams for class 12 in the same state will be held from 3 to 24 May.
Goa is also aptly preparing itself for conducting the class 10 and 12 board exams and practical associated with them.
Practical exams for class 10 will take place from April 1 to 24 and for class 12 it is from April 5 to 30.
Himachal Pradesh will have practical exams from April 15 to 30 for 10th and 12th standard.
And class 10 and 12 board exams will take place from May 4 onwards.
As far as Jharkhand is concerned, practical exam dates for 10th and 12th standard are yet to be announced.
However, class 10 and 12 board exams will take place from March 9 to 26 for both the classes.
The practical exam dates for 10th and 12th standard students in Karnataka are also yet to be known.
Class 10 and 12 board exams dates too are yet to be made clear.
Couple of sources say, 10th exams in Karnataka could start in first week of June, the same for 12th class could begin in second week of May.
The dates in connection with practical exams for 10th and 12th standards in Kerala are to yet to be decided.
However, sources point out class 10 exams could take place from 10 to 31 March the same for 12th standard exams is yet to be known.
The state of Maharashtra seems to be having a clear picture as far as class 10 and 12 board exams are concerned.
The practicals for class 10 will take place between April 27 to May 2, the same for class 12 students is to take place from April 29 to May 14.
Class 10 and 12 board exams will take place in Maharashtra from May 3 to June 11.
Practical exams for 10 and 12th standard students in Punjab will take place from March 1 onwards, class 10 and 12 board exams in the state are to start from April 9 and March 22 respectively.
Sources say, Uttar Pradesh would conduct practicals for class 12 from February 3 to 12, dates for the same with regards to 10th standard is yet to be made known.
Similarly, dates for class 10 and 12 board exams in Uttar Pradesh are also yet to be known.
West Bengal is another state that appears to have a schedule for practical exams and class 10 and 12 board exams.
Class 10 and 12 practicals in West Bengal are to be held from 10 to 31 March.
And, class 10 and 12 exams in West Bengal will take place from 1 to 10 June (10th standard) and from 15 June onwards for 12th standard.
As the dates for class 10 and 12 exams have come out, students in Bihar have demanded postponement of exams.
Students said they could not access online classes regularly owing to which their preparation took a beating.
However, so far no decision to postpone the exams has been made. Students have taken to social media pressing for more time.
Even as students are demanding for postponement of class 10 and 12 exams on social media platforms through the line ‘#postpone_biharboardexam2021’ it remains to be seen as to what decision will be made.
