What is chemistry all about

It is one of the most popular subjects in India that students build their careers around. It is a branch of science. It is all about the composition, properties, and structure of elements and compounds, their behavior pattern, how they change, the energies released or absorbed through them when they change.

However, it is difficult to explain chemistry in just few sentences considering it to be one of the most complex subjects out there.

In India, this subject is taught right from the 7th standard. This proves how much there is to cover in this subject and explore at different levels.

In short, it is all about the study of matter. Matter is something always around us so this field of science is a part of everything in our lives considering everything to be made of matter including our bodies.

It is a physical science that teaches us about the atoms, about how these atoms form different chemical compounds and bonds, about how the substances interact through the intermolecular forces, and every kind of possible chemical combinations and reactions.

Hence, the main goal of this subject is to learn about matter and atoms in a nutshell. The subject is surely tough, complex, and involves a lot of practical researches as well.

With the increase in level, the difficulty also increases. It is considered one of the toughest subjects for the school level as well.

This branch of science is also called as the central science because it connects all the other sciences including biology, geology, physics, and environmental science. The knowledge of this stream of science in detail can lead one to form informed decisions in their life.
