Children will get to see demonstrations of experimental devices used to study the human brain. Curiosity Lab of IIT Gandhinagar and Centre for Cognitive and Brain Sciences are hosting the Camp CogSci.

Camp CogSci is to generate excitement, curiosity and have fun during learning. The sessions in Camp CogSci are aimed at introducing students to the professional and educational possibilities that exist today within the field of Cognitive Science.

Participation

Camp CogSci (Cognitive Science) will introduce how researchers study the mind, brain, behavior, and cognitive processes such as attention, perception, learning and decision-making.

Unique opportunities
Professor Jaison A Manjaly, principal investigator at Curiosity Lab at IIT Gandhinagar spoke about unique opportunities in Camp CogSci.

Curiosity Camps offer an opportunity for students, teachers, and parents to explore the possibilities offered by Cognitive Science in various domains of society, science, and technology, he said speaking about Camp CogSci.

The Curiosity Camps aim to introduce novel perspectives in learning while building awareness of the multiple career paths that exist and are supported by institutions such as the IITs, he said speaking about Camp CogSci.

Camp CogSci also creates opportunity for school children to interact with faculty from institutions of higher education. Curiosity Lab conducts scientific research to understand how to improve curiosity among students while learning. The ‘Curiosity Camps’ are a Curiosity lab outreach initiative to increase interest and make learning fun.

The All India Institute of Medical Sciences Delhi, AIIMS Delhi is expected to declare today the Institute of National Importance Combined Entrance Test (INI-CET) January 2025 results. Candidates who appeared for the AIIMS INI CET examination to take admission into MD, MS, MCh/ DM, and MDS courses can check on aiimsexams.ac.in.

Before the exam, the total number of PG medical seats was tentatively notified to the extent of 1,436 seats. Those candidates who qualify for the entrance exam have to appear in the INI CET counselling in January 2025 for admission. The admission for the MDS course would close on February 28, 2025.

Admission will be provided by AIIMS New Delhi and other AIIMS, Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) Puducherry, National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS) Bengaluru, Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER) Chandigarh, Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology (SCTIMST) Trivandrum.

This is because the institute will also upload the individual results along with the merit list. If two or more candidates have the same merit, then in an INI CET 2025 exam result, the student having fewer negative marks is given a better rank. If the tie persists, the candidate older in age is given a higher rank. If the tie continues, then the candidate older in age would be preferred.
