The admission process
The BTech colleges in India have different types of admission process for intake of students.
IITs admit students into them based on the performance of JEE Advanced. The top 2.5 lakh rank holders in JEE Mains are eligible to write JEE Advanced.
NITs and IIITs admit students based on scores in JEE Mains. The post declaration of results for JEE Mains and JEE Advanced, JoSAA (Joint Seat Allocation Authority) conducts counselling.
Students who have passed JEE Mains with the required cutoff marks will have to attend the counselling to seek admission into NITs, IIITs.
Similarly students who passed JEE Advanced with required cutoff have to attend the counselling by JoSAA to seek admission into IITs.

Placement and CTC
As far as placement with good CTC is concerned, IIT Madras, Vellore Institute of Technology of Tamil Nadu, IIT Delhi and Amrita School of Engineering of Kerala are BTech colleges in India that have witnessed good performance.
The highest CTC at IIT Madras is Rs 95 LPA (Lakhs Per Annum).
The same at Vellore Institute of Technology was about Rs 16 LPA. IIT Delhi had CTC of Rs 1 crore per annum and Amrita School of Engineering had highest CTC of Rs 12 LPA.
