ARIIA ratings
ARIIA ratings released recently has managed to bring some cheer for BSARCIST by ranking it among top 25.
Based on their efforts, BSARCIST has been ranked in BAND A (6th-25th) in ARIIA ranking for this year.
The ratings were released by Vice President of India M. Venkaiah Naidu at a function held in New Delhi on 18 August recently.
Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements (ARIIA) is an initiative of Innovation Cell of Ministry of Education of Government of India.
This is systematically ranking all major higher educational institutions and universities in India on indicators related to innovation and entrepreneurship development amongst students and faculties.
Sources from BSARCIST further said various measures taken by it have got this top position in ARIIA ratings.
Among the measures initiated by BSARCIST was establishment of their entrepreneurship and innovation wing CIIC in 2019.
Crescent Innovation and Incubation Council (CIIC) was established by BSARCIST to encourage their students, faculties, alumni to convert their ideas into startups as well as support other innovators also.
This unit at BSARCIST made rapid progress in a year and incubated more than 64 startups in the areas of agri-tech, med-tech, health-care, nano-tech, food-tech, clean-tech, IoT, AI, ML, edu-tech, AR/VR, cyber security and smart manufacturing.
BSARCIST also supported 10 start-ups as a knowledge partner to get Innovation Voucher Program (IVP) Grant of Rs. 2 lakh to Rs. 5 lakh from Entrepreneurship Development and Innovation Institute (EDII) of Government of Tamilnadu.
