Students seeking admission to MCA/MBA programs at Bishop Heber College must have appeared for the TANCET (Tamil Nadu Common Entrance Test) or any other entrance exam recognized by the competent authority. - Candidates are required to apply online through the ‘Apply Online’ link available on the College Website: admission.bhc.edu.in.
- Applicants can select multiple programs, but an application fee should be paid for each program.
- Upon payment and registration, applicants will receive a confirmation SMS.
- Application and Register Numbers allotted to candidates are not transferable.
- Applicants can log in using their Username (Register No.) and Password (Mobile number allotted at the time of registration) to enter and upload additional details.
- Mandatory documents include Passport Size Photo, SSLC Mark Sheet, Community Certificate (Except General Category), Presbyter’s Letter of Recommendation for Christians, Income Certificate for Parents, Address Proof, and XII Mark Statement (Downloaded).
- For UG programs, +2 Examination marks should be filled in once results are published.
- For PG programs, candidates must fill in up to their 5th-semester marks, and Engineering students must fill in up to their 7th-semester marks. 6th and 8th Semester marks should be filled in once results are published.
- A hard copy of the Application is not acceptable.
- SC/SCA/ST Applicants can avail of free applications online for Aided and SF programs by submitting their Community Certificate Number.
- Due to limited seats in Aided programs, candidates are advised to apply in the Self-Financed stream as well.
- Hostel accommodations, being limited, prioritize students from distant places.
- The Bishop Heber College strictly prohibits the demand or acceptance of donations for admission, and any form of bribing is considered an offence.
Bishop Heber College Admission Process 2024
- Bishop Heber College Admissions for the academic year 2024-2025 are conducted through offline/online modes and are based solely on merit.
- Selected candidates for B.Com, BBA, BCA, B.Sc. Computer Science programs will receive a message from the College for a personal interview, with no spot admissions for these programs.
- Spot admissions, as well as online admissions, will be conducted for all other Arts and Science programs.
- Candidates selected after the interview must submit their original X Mark Sheet & Community Certificate for in-person admission.
- Provisional Admission is granted only upon receiving the Admission Fee within the stipulated time through an online/swipe machine.
- Original Certificates, including TC & +2 Mark Sheet, should be submitted to the College Office on a specified date for verification and confirmation of admission.
- Any false information provided at the time of application will lead to the cancellation of admission, with no refund of fees.
Additional Information related to Bishop Heber College
UG & PG Students opting for Add-on Programs must pay an additional amount. For Part-1 Language in UG Programs, candidates can choose only the Language studied either in HSC or X standard as Part 1. Christian students should pay an additional amount of ₹400/- per year for the Value Education events.
Bishop Heber College UG Applicants who studied XII std in another board/other state should pay a specified amount for university approval, and other country students have a separate fee.
If a UG student likes to study a Language other than Tamil, ie. Hindi/Sanskrit / French under Part -1 Language, he/she should pay 2,600/-per year. If studied XII std in another board/other state, should pay Rs. 1635/- for university approval and other country students to pay Rs. 7635/-.
Bishop Heber College PG Applicants, who studied UG in other Universities (within Tamil Nadu and Outside Tamil Nadu) or other Countries have an additional amount of 1,890/-, and students from other Countries should pay an additional amount of 10,640/- as a University Fee. Students admitted to the Self-Financed Stream cannot be transferred to the Aided Stream under any circumstances.
In case of student withdrawal, 10% of the fee paid will be deducted towards administrative charges, and the balance will be refunded if the student leaves the College before the reopening date for the academic year 2024-2025.
