Chandigarh University imparts a variety of programs for the students pursuing bsc agriculture. A wide variety of options are available to the students because of the diverse and innovative programs. The student must have passed the secondary education with atleast 50% of aggregate marks and must have cleared the cucet examination which is a scholarship exam offered by the university itself for theb students pursuing the different courses. As far as the addmision process is concerened, candidates can register themselves through both online as well as offline. For offline mode, candidates have to purchase CUCET brochure cum form from university admission offices authorized centers by paying application fee. Chandigarh University aims to support deserving/meritorious students in availing financial assistance for pursuing their higher education. In order to encourage students to take up higher education despite their financial shortcomings, nowadays, most banks, whether State or Centre Government are providing attractive loan facility to students. Chandigarh uni believes that talent needs to be supported. Therefore the university has setup loan facilities for the students so that they can continue to pursue their degrees. The university has its own steps for the loan applocation process. As far as the cutoff is concerened, Chandigarh University announce its cut off & merit list for various courses to get admission in UG & PG programs every year. There are various departments & colleges in Chandigarh University for which cutoff is determined based on the reservation categories and the seats availability.
Chandigarh University successfully conducted placements 2021 for all the programmes. This year, over 757 multinational companies participated and placed more than 7,412 students. Every year, the University provide successful placements to its students. This is the reason, the University has been adjudged as ‘University with Best Placements’. It also has a Joint Placement Programme (JPP), whereby, not only Chandigarh University students but qualified candidates from various cities receive the benefit of grabbing an offer and raise their chances of employability.
Chandigarh University provides its students with different infrastructural facilities including libararies, cafterias, hostels, sports complex, labs, moot court, gym, hospital and medical facilities, wifi, shuttle service, auditorium, dance rooms, tuck shops and many more. The university has 13 libraries - one central library and twelve libraries situated in different academic blocks with a rich collection of more than 85,000 books and 850000 of e-books. All libraries have access to e-journals and databases like ASME, IEEE, etc. Conveniently located cafes and mini refreshment joints are popular gathering places for students, faculty, and staff to eat, study, or socialize with friends.Chandigarh University provides a student with an environment to enjoy the fast paced metro lifestyle right within the campus. Restaurants and cafe's operational on campus are Lord's Food Court,Cafe Coffee Day, Baskin &Robbins and Subway. University campus has separate hostels for boys and girls with an attached mess. All the hostels have basic amenities like water purifiers, common room, gym, salon, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security, and surveillance system. Any student studying at Chandigarh University can get an access to a badminton court, a basketball court, a cricket ground, football ground, tennis court, volleyball court and a boxing ring in the sports complex of the university.
The hostels at CU provide the students with all basic facilities inculding water purifiers, a common room, gym, salon, recreation room, mess, TV, laundry services, security, and surveillance system. The food served in the mess is quite good and they have a proper menu for the students so that they donot miss their homecooked food. The level of hygiene is good too. Everyday the assigned staff brooms and mops the entire hostel floors everyday. In all the hostels are just the way they need to be.
I am currently in my first year pursuing my degree in bsc agriculture hons at Chandigarh University, one of the most renowend universities of India. All the staff here is literally very much supportive. They understand that the students have come here far from thier homes and they do every possible thing im order to make us comfortable and help us. The teaching here is upto the mark. Each one of the faculty member here is highly educated and has a good work experience. Every professor of ours is a doctrate in their particular fields and they impart quality education to us students and are always there to solve our queries and doubts regarding anything. The classes and labs here are excellent. They are well equipped and provide the students with all the facilities. The students are also provided with a mentor whom they can always contact in case on any distress relating anything.
