Applicants must fulfil the eligibility criteria in order to take the XAT exam. The eligibility criteria is as follows-

XAT exam pattern is unforeseeable and changes every year. For now, no change in the paper pattern has been apprised by the XLRI Authority. Persisting on the lines of the previous year exam pattern, XAT 2025 consisted of 4 sections with a total of 100 questions. You need to secure a high score in each of the sections as there is also a sectional score cut off in XLRI for shortlisting.

Quantitative Ability: 27 questions.
Data interpretation and Logical Reasoning: 21 questions.
Verbal and Reading Comprehension: 26 questions.
General Knowledge: 25 questions
• Students cannot switch between section, each section has to be completed before moving on to the next section.
• Questions with negative marking (Multiple Choice Questions): 75 (+1 for a correct answer and -0.25 for a wrong answer).
• Questions without negative marking (non-Multiple Choice Questions): 25.
