Scholarships are provided to research scholars who are the staff of VMRF-DU. Fellowships are provided to Research scholars.
Fellowships are provided to Research Associates.
The University facilitates scholarships to the SC/ ST / Minority Students and other Govt. Schemes from the Central / State Government agencies.
The University facilitates scholarships to Students from non-governmental agencies.
Other Criteria recommended for need based Scholarships

On recommendations of the concerned authorities, the Committee can offer Fee concessions and Free ships to deserving students on a case-to-case basis as may be deemed fit, and on approval of the Vice Chancellor such facilities may be provided.

Scholarship Procedure

1. Selection:

a. Every year, all eligible students have to apply for a fresh and renewal of the scholarship in the prescribed form available in the University /College office/Website.

b. i) Renewal of Scholarship application forms (Second Year to Final Year) will be received from May to 31st July of every year.

ii) First Year (Fresh application) will be received till the last date of admission.

c. A student can apply for and avail of ONLY ONE scholarship scheme.

d. The scholarship committee constituted for the purpose by the university shall be the authority to scrutinize the application and recommend the eligible candidates for the award of scholarship and/or tuition fee waiver as applicable. The Vice Chancellor shall be the final person to approve the scholarship award.

e. The eligible students will be informed through the Head of the Institution

2. Guidelines for Second Year to final year Scholarship:

All scholarships are renewed every year subject to academic performance of the student in the previous academic year of VMRF (DU) Examinations with above 9.0 SGPA (without any break of study). It will also be subject to discipline and maintenance of attendance of at least 75% by the student. In such a case, students would get the same amount of scholarship that was provided in the previous year.

The Second year to final year students who are not availed for any scholarship category during the admission time and if they wish to apply based on the VMRF-DU Examinations with above 9.0 SGPA and above are eligible to get only 20 % scholarship in Tuition fee for that year.

3. Not Eligible for Scholarship:

Students for the following categories are not eligible for any scholarship / any year during the study period.

Less than 75% attendance
Disciplinary action / Enquiry / Suspension
Failure to apply for the scholarship within the stipulated date will not be ineligible for the scholarship.
