Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) Freeship & Scholarship Program (2025-26)

Suresh Gyan Vihar University, in collaboration with Sahitya Sadawart Samiti, Jaipur, has introduced an extensive scholarship and freeship initiative aimed at supporting meritorious and financially disadvantaged students. This program is designed to ensure that talented individuals can pursue higher education without financial constraints.

About the Scholarship & Freeship Program

SGVU’s scholarship scheme recognizes academic excellence, financial need, and special categories to provide financial aid in the form of full and partial tuition fee waivers. The selection process is merit-based and ensures fairness in awarding scholarships to the most deserving candidates.

Scholarship Categories & Eligibility

1. Acharya Purushottam Uttam Fellowship (Freeship)

• Seats Available: 25
• Benefits: Full waiver on tuition fees, examination fees, enrollment fees, books, lodging, and boarding for the entire course duration.
• Eligibility: Awarded at the discretion of the Board of Management (BOM) to students with financial need.
• Continuation Criteria: Minimum 75% attendance per semester.

2. Shri Suresh Sharma Memorial Fellowship

• Seats Available: 50
• Benefits: 100% tuition fee waiver.
• Eligibility:
  • Need-Based: Awarded at BOM’s discretion.
  • Merit-Based: Students securing 97.5% and above in 10+2 from a recognized board.
• Continuation Criteria: Minimum 75% attendance per semester.

3. Shri Sunil Sharma Merit Scholarship (Partial Tuition Fee Waiver)

• 50% Tuition Fee Waiver
  • Eligibility: Students scoring 92.5% - 97.4% in 10+2.
  • Duration: First-year only.
• 40% Tuition Fee Waiver
  • Eligibility: Students scoring 90% - 92.4% in 10+2.
  • Duration: First-year only.

4. University President Scholarship

• 20% Tuition Fee Waiver
  • Eligibility: Students scoring 85% - 89.9% in 10+2.
  • Duration: First-year only.
• 10% Tuition Fee Waiver
  • Eligibility: Students scoring 75% - 84.9% in 10+2.
  • Duration: First-year only.

5. Dr. Sudhanshu Employee Welfare Scholarship

• 50% Tuition Fee Waiver for SGVU permanent employees and their children.
• Eligibility:
  • Employees must serve a minimum of two years at SGVU.
  • The scholarship is applicable only for regular mode programs and remains valid as long as the employee continues working at the university.

6. Smt. Kamla Devi Gender Equality Scholarship (For Female Students)

• 20% Tuition Fee Waiver for students securing 75% or above in 10+2.
• 10% Tuition Fee Waiver for students securing 70% - 74.9% in 10+2.
• Duration: First-year only.

7. SGVUAA (Alumni Association) Scholarship

• 25% Tuition Fee Waiver for SGVU alumni pursuing higher studies at the university.

8. Jay Prakash Narayan Scholarship (For Students from Bihar)

• Benefits: Covers tuition fees and accommodation.
• Eligibility:
  • Top 400 scorers in SGVUEE.
  • Minimum 60% in the last qualifying exam.
  • Mandatory on-campus accommodation.

9. Dr. Ambedkar – SGVU Scholarship (For Reserved Categories - SC/ST/OBC-BPL/SBC/MBC)

• Eligibility:
  • Rajasthan domicile students from SC, ST, OBC-BPL, SBC, and MBC categories.
  • Minimum 60% in the last qualifying exam.
  • Students must apply through the Social Welfare Department portal.
• Additional Support: SGVU will cover any fee gaps not met by government scholarships.

Special Considerations

• In case a student loses a parent during their academic tenure, Sahitya Sadawart Samiti will contribute 50% of the annual fee for the remaining duration of the course.

Dr. Ambedkar – SGVU Scholarship (For SC/ST/OBC-BPL/SBC/MBC Students - Rajasthan Domicile Only)

Important Notes

1. One Scholarship per Student – If a student qualifies for multiple scholarships, the higher value scholarship will be awarded.
2. Government Scholarship Clause – Students receiving government scholarships are not eligible for SGVU’s internal scholarships.
3. Continuation Criteria – Scholarships are subject to:
   • Minimum 7.5 CGPA in the previous academic year.
   • Minimum 75% attendance per semester.
   • No academic backlogs.
   • No disciplinary violations.
4. Scholarship Disbursement – The scholarship amount is adjusted against tuition fees at the time of even-semester fee payment.
5. Application Deadline – All required documents must be submitted by November 15, 2025.
