The St. Joseph's College admission process is entirely online. Applicants for all bachelor's programmes must update their XII Standard/ II PU marks in their application form. The program with an entrance test for admission is specified, and requests for changes to the date/time/venue/mode of test/interview will not be entertained. No requests for TA/DA or accommodation will be entertained, and failure to attend the entrance test/interview is considered as "not selected."
Details of the St. Joseph’s University Entrance Tests (SJUET) are available on the respective program's webpage. Entrance tests will be conducted on campus for all Indian nationals. Foreign/International applicants will not have entrance tests but will be screened separately as prescribed by the Department/School. Only the programs of the School of Communication and Media Studies will have online entrance tests.
If a candidate has applied for more than one program, both of which have entrance tests, provisions will be made for the candidate to take both tests on the same day. The dates and timings of the St. Joseph’s University Entrance Test (SJUET) are notified. Upon arrival at the test venue, the candidate will be informed as to which test he/she should complete first. After a break of half an hour, the candidate can take the next test.
Before saving the application form at any stage, it is essential to ensure that all details are filled in completely and accurately on every page. After saving the form, any corrections will incur a fine of Rs 50 per correction.

Additional facilities such as a staff infirmary and a boardroom have also been incorporated.
Auditorium: The Auditorium Complex, inaugurated in 2014, boasts excellent acoustics, lighting, a green room, a basement, and service points. Smart seating for 1260 people is available, along with four seminar halls accommodating approximately a hundred individuals each. These halls are ICT-enabled and feature small daises for event hosting, offering various sizes and seating options as per event requirements.
Library: St. Joseph’s College Library is renowned for its extensive collection, regularly subscribing to top national and international journals, periodicals, and newspapers. It serves over 9000 undergraduate, postgraduate, and research-level students and staff. The library is fully automated, with spacious reading halls accommodating up to 250 users. It utilizes the latest technology, including the Koha Integrated Library Management System Software and DSpace software for digital library and institutional repositories, along with barcode and Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology.
Hostel: The hostel for men provides a well-designed living space with all the necessary amenities for boarding and recreation. It features its canteen, maintained cooperatively, ensuring students have access to healthy and hygienic food.
Observatory: The university's observatory offers students a unique educational opportunity to explore astrophysics and telescope functionality. Equipped with a sophisticated 12-inch Ritchey-Chrétien Telescope, students can delve into the celestial sphere, contributing to astronomical education. The observatory is managed by the St. Joseph's Astrophysical Society (SAPS), enhancing the academic experience.
