NIIT University Scholarship

At NU, education always comes first. So, they are committed to extending financial aid to students who have consistently proven their academic merit. They also provide a scholarship for excellence in co-curricular activities which is crucial for a student’s holistic growth.

NU also offers a special fee waiver, subject to certain conditions. NU provides following scholarships:

NU Scholar Search Programme

Under NU’s distinctive scholarship programme, applicants may qualify for a scholarship up to a full waiver on the university tuition fees. Merit scholarships under this programme are categorised into:

• MS 1 Level
• MS 2+ Level
• MS 2 Level

• MS 3 Level

Benefits under each plan

The scholarships are awarded on the basis of either the student’s academic performance or their performance in entrance examinations and are only applicable to university tuition fees.

Note:

• Scholarship Level is based on combined performance in Class 10 and 12. In EAD, Class 12 performance will be taken as equal to Class 10 performance.
• If an EAD student gets % marks in Class 12 higher than Class 10, her/ his higher combined score will be considered and if it led to upward revision of the Scholarship Level, it would be done.
• Grades =Score (10th + 12th) for RAD Students
• Grades=(2*Score of 10th) for EAD Students

Terms and conditions of merit scholarships

• The above scholarships are merit based and subject to availability.
• The scholarship is valid for the full duration of the NU Programme in which the student is enrolled, subject to the student maintaining a minimum AGPA (Annual Grade Point Average) or CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) of 6.0 as per the then-applicable university Academic Policy.
• In the EAD mode, the scholarship will be offered on the basis of Class X performance on the assumption that Class XII performance will be equal to that of Class X. If Class XII performance is better than Class X, the scholarship is upgraded. However, if Class XII performance is lower than Class X, the scholarship will not be downgraded.
• The scholarship may be revoked in case the student faces a disciplinary action or is unable to comply with minimum attendance rules as specified in the Attendance Policy.

Special scholarship

A special scholarship is extended to exceptional merit holders and top performers in the country and provides a full tuition fee waiver in each programme. This overrides a lower scholarship level determined previously. To qualify for the Special Scholarship, the student should meet at least one of the following criteria:

*For BTech & iMSc – Average of best two from PCMB
*For BBA/iMBA – Average of best two from English, General Test, Math

Terms and conditions:

• The scholarship is subject to the student maintaining a minimum AGPA/CGPA of 7.5 at the end of each academic year.
• To avail this scholarship, the students are required to submit the proof of meeting eligibility criteria at the time of enrolment.

Scholarship for Co-Curricular Excellence (CoX)

Special Scholarships called CoX are offered to Applicants who have demonstrated excellence in any area of Co-Curricular activity such as Sports, Music, Fine Arts, Theatre, Dance, or Social Service by participating in and receiving individual awards at School Board, State, National or International levels. Academic activities outside of the school curriculum will not be under the purview of CoX. E.g., Olympiad, Hackathons, etc. Certificates obtained by taking examinations of Music or Dance Schools/ Academies will not be under the purview of CoX.

The Award must not be more than five years old.

CoX Scholarship

All Applicants, whether offered Merit Scholarship or not, are eligible to apply for CoX if they have documentary evidence of co-curricular excellence as mentioned above.

CoX Scholarship amount would be Rs 25000/- per year. The condition for retaining CoX Scholarship would be the active participation in the Students Club pertaining to concerned co-curricular area

Terms and conditions:

• Students who have been offered a merit scholarship as well those who have not been offered one, are eligible to apply for CoX if they have documentary evidence of co-curricular excellence as mentioned above.
• To retain their CoX scholarship, students must participate in the students’ club corresponding to the concerned co-curricular activity.

Special Scholarship for Women

• A special scholarship for women student applicants called the WOMEN IN STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics) scholarship will be provided.
• The Women in STEAM scholarship, carrying an amount of Rs. 15,000/- annually, is applicable to all women applicants.
• This is in addition to any Merit Scholarship and/or CoX Scholarship as applicable.

Fee waivers

Applicants can avail a ‘Special Fee Waiver’ if they meet certain criteria.

Terms and conditions:

• The fee waivers above are in addition to any Merit Scholarship and/or CoX Scholarship as applicable. The fee waiver is applicable for only one of the categories mentioned above.
• To avail of the Special Fee waiver, the applicants must submit a written application at the time of registration at the campus with proof for the category applied for.

NIIT University Eligibility Criteria

Programme: BBA/iMBA

Other criteria

• Applicants must have a four-year bachelor’s degree in Engineering (any stream)
• Professionals with a three-year bachelor’s degree must have adequate IT training and professional practice (minimum two years) in an ET relevant industry/organisation/ department/desk/ in India or abroad. They must also have three years relevant experience in any of the above-mentioned areas.
• Pre-service applicants are required to appear for the NIIT University ET Admission Competency Test and a subsequent screening interview.
• In-service applicants shall be evaluated on the basis of the candidates’ interest, experience and suitability for the programme along with the recommendation of the sponsoring organisation.

MTech GIS

Eligibility criteria

Applicants to NU’s MTech GIS programme must have a master’s degree (or must be completing their master’s degree in the current academic year) in any one of the following disciplines:

MTech Cyber Security with Infosys

Eligibility criteria

Four years (minimum) work experience

Educational qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering/Technology (or equivalent in an appropriate area)
• MS (Computer Science/Information Technology
• Graduates (AMIETE) from Institution of Electronics of Telecommunications
• Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science or Engineering

Applicants who have completed their first degree outside India must:

• Have passed the examination in the concerned subject*
• Fulfil minimum eligibility criteria for admission from a university/Board included in the list of Association of Indian Universities (AIU)
• Obtain and submit an equivalence certificate from AIU, subject to final verification by NU (If the university/Board is not on the AIU list)

*A four-year bachelor’s degree (8 semesters) in Engineering/ science of the relevant discipline. A four-year BSc programme (after 10+2) will be considered the equivalent of a BTech for this purpose.

MBA ISDE with Coforge

Eligibility criteria

• Educational qualifications: BE/BTech
• Minimum 55% marks at graduation
• 18 months of relevant professional work experience (minimum) after graduation

The selection process for this MBA programme is designed to identify meritorious candidates who possess good personalities, a spirit of enquiry, excitement, and daring and who show an aptitude for data analytics and management. NU uses multiple criteria for selection.

NIIT University Application Process

The application process for NIIT University (NU) is simple and user-friendly.

• To apply, candidates need to visit the official application portal at https://nucleus.niituniversity.in/Register.aspx.
• New users must sign up by providing their email ID, 10-digit mobile number, first name, last name, selecting their state, and choosing their desired program from the given options.
• After filling in the details and agreeing to the Terms and Conditions, applicants can complete the registration by clicking on the "Sign Up" button.
• Existing users can directly sign in using their registered credentials to access the portal and complete their application process.

NIIT University  Campus

The 100-acre NIIT University (NU) campus in Neemrana, Rajasthan, is among the greenest and most eco-friendly campuses in the country today. • For the first semester in Academic Year 2024 only, tuition fee is payable during enrolment. However, the Hostel, Mess and Laundry Fees will be payable only after announcement of campus opening and two weeks prior to scheduled commencement of in-campus residential activities.
