It began its innings in 2009 and moved steadily towards the pinnacles of glory.

The institution was granted NOC by the Punjab State Government to start a new veterinary and animal science college at Amritsar to start B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Bachelor of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry) 5-year program. Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU), Ludhiana accorded affiliation in 2010.
College obtained recognition from Veterinary Council of India (VCI) and in the year 2021, GADVASU granted permanent affiliation to the college and ICAR also granted accreditation to the college for a period of five years with a score of 3.17 for the degree program and 3.11 to the College equivalent to Grade "A". Efforts are always made to ensure students get the best here.

Undergraduate programme in BVSc & AH is offered at the college and candidates who have confirmed their admission after going through the required procedure can pay the fees. The fees comprises various elements and one of the main component is tuition fees. The tuition fee is cost incurred on studying the course. A pass in plus-two is a must to apply for graduate courses, candidates who have passed bachelors degree in the relevant discipline can apply for postgraduate courses. Native Indian Students
Students have to ensure they are fulfilling the required eligibility conditions before venturing to apply. A pass in plus-two from a recognised educational institution with subjects as biology, physics and chemistry as subjects is the eligibility condition to apply. Students have to apply for NEET UG and pass it with required qualifying marks.
NEET UG is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA). Post appearing, candidates have to check for the result and ensure they have passed the test with required qualifying marks. Students who have passed the exam with the required qualifying marks can choose the college to study the course of their choice while applying for the counselling.
Students who passed NEET UG can take part in the counselling conducted by Veterinary Council of India (VCI), they can also likely apply for counselling conducted by Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (GADVASU). Selection of students will be done based on factors – performance in written exam (NEET UG), performance in the qualifying exam, choice of the course by the candidates, availability of seats.
OCI or NRIs
Children of Overseas Citizens of India or Non-Resident Indians can also apply for studying BVSc & AH course. The NRI/OCI candidates seeking admission to undergraduate programmes are not required to appear in NEET (UG) - 2020 or any other entrance test. However, they must have passed 10+2 standard level examination with a minimum of 50% marks in individual subjects of English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Mathematics.
The eligibility of qualification will be subject to verification of equivalence with the 10+2 examination of recognized Indian Education Board (s) etc. As such, the candidates must furnish the detail of subjects studied, grades and percentage equivalent marks in the relevant columns of the NRI/OCI Application Form.
The syllabus of the courses studied at 10+1 and 10+2 levels and the website address of the institute attended need to be attached with the application. Mere submitting the application does not guarantee admission to the programme applied for.

3A. Sometimes after confirmation, candidates may receive an One Time Password (OTP) either on their mobile phone or email after submission of registration form. In that case, they can enter the OTP and receive the final confirmation of submission of registration form and the details about username and password created.

6. Post uploading of the documents, candidates can pay the registration fee using the online modes like credit card, debit card and net banking and obtain confirmation. After obtaining the confirmation, candidates can check for errors in the application and rectify them if any. Post rectification/verifying, application can be submitted and confirmation for successful submission can be obtained.
The life on campus is more than comfortable as the amenities there are on par with the best in the country.
