The campus life of the students is designed in a way to keep the extra curricular activities more intact. The faculty of the college strictly believes that a student can never prosper to their fullest strength just with the college classroom knowledge. 

Hence, enough stress is laid on the extra curricular activities and the lives of the students. The campus life of the students at this college is about the cultural vibrancy and a great sense of community. This is possible because of the unique confluence of students from diverse nationalities, states, and backgrounds, all of which leads to a rich exchange of knowledge, experiences, and cultures, and makes our students more tolerant and sensitive to each other's diverse backgrounds. 

Because they want to improve their extra curricular activities so much that they always organise a lot of sport events for the students to take part in. The highlight of the campus is that it is a residential one and has full power wi-fi. They have spacious, well-lit, and airy classrooms, divided across two blocks. The corridors of the college is really huge and spacious. The campus has lT-enabled lecture rooms, conference halls, computer and science labs, hostels, library, cafeteria, green areas, and sports facilities. Last but not the least but the college campus is a safe one where no ragging of any means is allowed. 

Sports and other co-curricular activities help the students in building confidence on your abilities and grow as a team. At CVRU, we not only help you prosper in the workplace but also help you to come up strong as an individual. We help you grow into morally responsible citizens of the nation.

The college prepares the students for the competitive world that awaits them outside the campus. It is the sole aim of the University that they can make the students time spent in the premises a memorable one by giving them a quality campus life. 

Lots of cultural activities are involved in the college. It helps to get actively involved in various forms of cultural and co- curricular activities. The aim is to bring out the talented and to provide a platform for the upcoming artists.

There is a specialised student council in the college that helps the students with a lot of activities:

Other facilities offered by the college are cafeteria, medical aid, library, medical support, canteen, guest house, and lots of other things. There is a strong anti-ragging committee in the college to prevent the students from any kind of severe ragging.

Transport facilities are also included in the college to help the students and the faculty with the pick up and drop facilities. The University understands the basic needs of its students and their financial needs. Thus to provide them with good financial assistance, we have ATMs set up on-campus and also have association with banks like Bank of India.

Therefore students don't need to look outside the campus, as the university provides them with all financial help.

Dr. C.V. Raman University Bilaspur Hostel 

The college has a separate boarding facility for the boys and the girls. The rooms are provided on Double sharing and Triple sharing basis. The facilities provided include laundry, Wi-Fi, Yoga for girls and a Gymnasium for the boys. The hostel is equipped with a mess to provide food for the students for three times a day along with some snacks.

The mess provides hygienic and nutritious food to the students. The students decide the weekly menu according to which meals are prepared and served. Mess staff is conscious about the cleanliness and quality of food in a hygienic manner. The college has separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls.

All the modern facilities are attached in the college along with a mess that serves home like healthy food for the students. They serve fresh and hygienic food three to four times a day that includes breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks. Coolers and air conditioner facilities are available as per requirement.

Hostels rooms are fully furnished with cots, bedding, study table & chair, almiras, etc. All the rooms of the hostel are well-furnished and come with an attached bath. Currently, the hostel of the University houses more than 150 students. The hostel has common rooms which are provided with TV sets, carom boards and other recreational and amusement facilities. This is a kind of entertainment zone for the students.

The University also runs a fleet of busses to help the students and staff members for easy commuting. Currently the hostel block houses more than 150 students. All hostels comprise of main office, security room and a guest house. The two boys’ blocks are called Tagore Block and Gandhi Block.

The rooms are spacious and airy with a full view of the lush greenery outside the block perimeters. The sports grounds are situated at a close distance to encourage students to stay fit by regularly playing cricket, hockey, volley ball, football, basket ball, tennis or by taking a simple refreshing run along the tracks.

The basketball and tennis courts are provided with flood lights to enable students to play till late in the evenings. Hostel campus maintenance like cleaning/sweeping, pest control is outsourced. Electrical repairs and security services are available round the clock.

How to take. Admission in the college hostel 

• The hostel admission is done on the branch and merit basis and as per State Govt. reservation rules. 
• Merit list will be prepared on the basis of marks with no backlog courses. The students with backlogs will be given a lower priority during the room allotment procedure.
• Hostel administration reserves the right to deny admission or cancel admission at any stage.
• Ragging within or outside premises is strictly prohibited. 
• Any kind of ragging of students, physically or mentally, is a black spot on the society and is a cognisable offence.
