Candidates after ensuring that they are fulfilling the required eligibility conditions can apply for NEET UG if they wish to study BDS. The procedure to apply for NEET UG is online. Students can visit the website for NEET UG which is hosted by National Testing Agency (NTA).

Post visiting the official website, the registration can be taken up and then account comprising username and password has to be created. Post creation of user account, they can login and then start filling the application form.

The application form must be filled with details like the name of the candidate, date of birth, address, communication information like email, mobile number, course desiring to apply, qualification details. Post filling with these details, students have to pay the registration fees and then submit the application form. 

Post application submission, students have to appear for a written test (NEET UG) and pass it with required score, candidates who pass the written test with required score can take part in the further admission procedure which comprises an interview.

The required score is also known as minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks, the score of candidates in the test has to be either greater than cutoff marks or equal to it if they are to be eligible to take part in the further admission process which comprises counselling.

3. The students would receive confirmation message of successful submission and post submission they can view the details about the username and password created and website where they can use the username and password.

3A. Sometimes after confirmation, candidates may receive an One Time Password (OTP) either on their mobile phone or email after submission of registration form. In that case, they can enter the OTP and receive the final confirmation of submission of registration form and the details about username and password created.

4. Applicants can login in with the help of credentials (username and password) created and start filling the application form with details – the name (of the candidate), age, date of birth, educational qualification, residential address and permanent address, the course they wish to study, the test centre where they wish to write the test.
5. Post filling all the details, applicants have to upload the documents, the documents to be uploaded would depend on the type of the course, they are wishing to apply for the exam. The documents to be uploaded for UG course are:

6. Post uploading of the documents, candidates can pay the registration fee using the online modes like credit card, debit card and net banking and obtain confirmation. After obtaining the confirmation, candidates can check for errors in the application and rectify them if any. Post rectification/verifying, application can be submitted and confirmation for successful submission can be obtained.
