There will be no counselling in connection with UPSC Exam 2023 as it is an exam for providing government jobs and not for admission into academic courses in educational institutions. Candidates have to pass two stages of the exam - Prelims and Mains. Individuals who pass both the stages will be called for interview.
Interview is where the questions usually are answered vocally. The focus will be problem solving ability of the candidates, analyzation of communication skills of the candidates, ability to look for solutions. Post interview, candidates will be allotted the vacancies taking into consideration, their performance in the written test, availability of vacancies and performance in interview.
