About UPSC CS Exam 2023

UPSC CS Exam 2023 Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts various exams through out the year to recruit personnel for vacancies in central government departments and units located in various states in India. One of the prominent exams conducted by UPSC is Civil Services Exam which is also known as CSE or UPSC CSE or UPSC Civil Services Exam.

This is a national-level exam that is conducted every year and UPSC CS Exam 2023 is meant to be conducted in 2023. The notifications for this exam is released on the official website of UPSC and individuals can start submitting applications online. Soon after submission, candidates have to appear for the exams which would be held at two stages - prelims, mains.

Candidates who pass prelims with required qualifying marks become eligible for UPSC Civil Services Mains Exam. Those who pass Mains with the cutoff score or required qualifying score become eligible for taking part in the interview which is also known as Personality Test or Civil Services Intervew. The performance in the mains exam in particular and in the interview determine the selection for civil services.

The registration or submission of applications for UPSC CS Prelims Exam 2023 has started 1 February 2023 and the last date to submit applications for prelims exam is 21 February 2023. Prelims exam for 2023 will be conducted on 28 May 2023. Candidates who pass prelims can only apply for UPSC CS Mains Exam. The application submission for Mains exam will be informed at an appropriate time this year. 

Mains Exam will be conducted on 15 September 2023. Individuals must remember that while certain UPSC exams have prelims, mains and interview levels in the recruitment process, the pattern is not the same for all UPSC exams and the final interview process also is different for each goverment job. The final interview for Civil Services Exam will be different from that of NDA & NA and so on.   • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2023.
  • Enter JEE Main 2023 Roll Number and Password.

Step 2: Upload Documents

Documents required must be kept handy before filling the application form. Once the JEE Advanced application form is filled correctly, upload the required set of documents with the specifications.

  • Upload high quality scanned images of your latest photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  • The signature size should range from 1kb- 30kb.

The candidates can check below the eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Advanced 2023:

Age limit: There is an age limit to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

  • Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995
  • Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

Qualifying JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2023. The number of candidates that are selected from each of the categories is as follows:

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allotted seats into the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.

The counselling for the JEE Advanced AAT 2023 qualified candidates will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The candidates will have to register through JoSAA where allotment will be done according to the candidate’s secured rank, preferences made and availability of seat.
