NEET UG 2023 is expanded into National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test Undergraduate. It is conducted once every year by National Testing Agency (NTA) and NEET UG 2023 is meant to be conducted in 2023. The purpose behind conducting the exam is to provide admission into undergraduate medical - MBBS, Dental-BDS, Homeopathy-BHMS, Ayurveda-BAMS, Veterinary-BVSc and AH and Nursing-BSc Nursing.
The notification is issued every year by NTA on the official website for the exam hosted by it at appropriate time. Students can visit the website after the issue of notification and start submitting the applications. Students who have passed plus-two in science stream with biology, physics and chemistry as subjects can apply for NEET UG. Registration process for NEET UG 2023 has been opened up on 6 March 2023, the last date to apply for the test is 9 PM of 6 April 2023.
Process to apply is online, candidates have to visit the official website and click the link for registration and then provide details like their name, age, date of birth and create an account comprising username and password. After the account is created, students can log in and then start filling the application form. Form is to be filled and registration fees has to be paid and submitted.
Post filling the form, candidates have to appear for NEET UG which will be held on offline mode across various centres in India and abroad. The medium of the exam is english and hindi and other local Indian languages. Question papers in english medium will be available across all the test centers, however, question papers in local languages will be available in the respective states where that language is spoken.
Duration of the exam is 3 Hours 20 Minutes or 200 Minutes and questions related to biology, physics and chemistry have to be answered on a separate answer sheet as the exam is held in offline mode (pen and paper based). The questions will be in multiple choice format where each question will have more than one replies and right one among that has to be chosen to score marks.
Students have to pass NEET UG with required qualifying marks which is also known as cutoff score. The cutoff score will be announced along with the release of exam results. Cutoff score are the marks to be scored by the candidates to be eligible for next process of admission. The marks obtained by candidates either should be greater than cutoff or equal to it.
