CoA conducts NATA exam but not the counselling process for providing admissions into architecture course (BArch). Candidates who pass NATA exam with the required score have to apply to each institution where the course in architecture is offered. Soon after the results for NATA exam are released, they have to check for institutions where architecture course admission is offered based on NATA score and apply for that.
After application process is done, candidates may be called for counselling. To know more about the counselling schedule, candidates have to refer the sources like official websites of the institution where they have applied and follow it accordingly.
The exam will be conducted for three times this year - June 12 2022 (1st phase), July 3, 2022 (2nd phase) and July 24, 2022 (3rd phase). The results for 1st, 2nd, 3rd phase would be declared on 20 June 2022, 13 July 2022 and 3 August 2022 respectively.
The cutoff marks will usually be declared along with release of exam result, sometimes cutoff score can be released either before or after the exam result release. Candidates can begin visiting the official website for the exam a few days before the result release dates mentioned above to know the cutoff score.
Each institution also has its own cutoff. Candidates can compare their score in NATA with that of the cutoffs declared by various institutions. The exam score of the candidates must either be equal to the cutoff of the institutions or above it. Where ever, the candidates find their score either equal to or greater than cutoff score, candidates can apply there for admission.
Once the NATA results and cutoff are released, Candidates can check for the application submission schedule, respective cutoff marks, counselling schedule of the respective college and then start applying for BArch courses there.
Post applying for admission, candidates will be called for counselling. The date, time and venue for counselling process will be intimated on the official website of the exam.
Candidates may even receive the communication for counselling on their email ids, they can keep visiting their email id accounts regularly after the declaration of results on the official website. Individuals who pass the exam with required cutoff score becomes eligible to take part in the counselling procedure.
Candidates who are eligible for taking part in the counselling have to register for it. The registration can be done either online or offline depending upon the options provided. Sometimes, either of the one is provided and at certain other times both the options are provided. Registration procedure (online and offline) is provided below for the sake of the students:
Online registration
1. In online registration, candidates have to visit the required website and create an account comprising a username and password. Applicants have to provide details like their exam roll number, application number, date of birth, exam centre during the registration procedure.
2. Post completion of registration and obtaining username and password, candidates have to login using them and fill the application form indicating the college they wish to study the course of their choice and submit it. The application has to be submitted along with photocopies of required documents if asked.
3. Candidates have to pay the fee (counselling fee) either during the registration process or before the commencement of the registration process.
Offline registration
1. Applicants would be given application forms in case the offline counselling registration is made available. Candidates have to fill the application forms with details like exam roll number, application number, date of birth, exam centre during the registration and also indicate the choice of college for studying the course of their choice and then submit the form.
2. The application has to be submitted along with the required documents (in photocopy format). Post submission of the form, candidates have to pay the fee (counselling fee) in cash or in form of Demand Draft (DD). Sometimes fee has to be paid before the submission of the form.
3. Upon submission of form, candidates will be provided with an acknowledgement number which they have to preserve till the counselling process is over.
Post registration
The applications received are sorted out and analyzed and seats are sanctioned based on factors like avaialability of seats, candidate's choice of the course and college, candidate's performance in the written test, demand for the courses and seats, existing reservation norms.
Individuals who are successful in gettting a seat can appear for document verification process and pay the fees as a token of acceptance of the seat offered. Post fee payment, the candidates can join the institution for classes as per the specifications. Counselling will be conducted in one or more rounds as per the existing circumstances. Candidates who do not get a seat in the first round can take part in the subsequent rounds.

Candidates have to take certain documents with them while attending the counselling process. Candidates must have both photocopies and originals of the documents mentioned below as both would be of use during the counselling process:

$ NATA Score card/Result card
$ 10th class marksheet
$ 12th class marksheet
$ Caste certificate (if applicable)
$ PwD certificate (if applicable)
$ Indentification cards like Aadhar Card/Voter Id/Pan Card

The counselling schedule will depend on the institution and candidates have to refer the official website of the institution for all information related to counselling.
