Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry 2022 - JELET 2022 or Joint Entrance Examination for Lateral Entry is a Common Entrance Test which is conducted by the West Bengal Joint Entrance Examinations Board (WBJEEB) for admission into 2nd year (3rd semester) directly of the four-year courses of Bachelor Degree in Engineering/ Technology and Pharmacy.

JELET 2022 is tentatively scheduled to be held any time in the 2nd week of July 2022.

WBJELET 2022 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

Candidates must ensure that they fulfill WBJELET Eligibility Criteria 2022 before applying for the exam. The eligibility criteria are completely based on factors such as nationality, age limit, domicile requirements, qualifications, and qualifying marks. 

  • Domicile- It is a must for all the Candidates to have a domicile certificate in order to apply for government participating institutes in case they are claiming for reserved category seats.
  • Nationality- Candidate must be a citizen of India.
  • Age Limit- There is no lower age limit as such . There is no upper age limit is 27 years as on December 31, 2020 . However, for the Marine Engineering course, there is an upper age limit of 25 years.
  • Qualification Requirement
    Candidates who have a diploma in engineering/pharmacy/technology and willing to apply for degree courses through JELET must have achieved a minimum of 45% marks from any polytechnic institute/Pharmacy institute recognized by AICTE.
    Candidates holding a B.Sc. degree, willing to seek admissions into Engineering/Technology courses, must have pass B.Sc. degree with a minimum of 45% marks from UGC recognised University. Also, candidates must have passed Class XII with mathematics as a core subject.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks-
    Candidates must have obtained 45% marks aggregate in the three compulsory subjects.
    For SC, ST, OBC-A, OBC-B and PwD candidates, this minimum qualifying marks is 40%.
    Candidates must have passed English with at least 30% marks.
    Candidates with non-formal, irregular class mode, non-class room based schooling, open school learning or distance education will not be eligible for admission through WBJELET 2021.

WBJELET APPLICATION

WBJEE Application Form will only be available at the WBJEE official website from March 26, 2022. Candidates fulfilling the minimum eligibility criteria can apply for the same online. 

Follow the given steps to apply for WBJELET 2022:

Register yourself – Visit wbjeeb.nic.in and click on “Registration for WBJELET 2022” button. Enter your personal details- name, date of birth, mobile number, and email ID and submit it. You will receive your registration number and password on the registered mobile number or email ID immediately.

Fill Personal & Academic Details – Log in using your registered credentials and fill WBJELET Application Form 2022. Enter your domicile, category, PwD status, home district, family income, nationality, religion, 3 WBJELET Exam centers, and other details.

  • Put your thumb impression/sign and paste your passport sized photograph on the form.
  • Print 2 -3 extra copies for future purpose.

 Upload Documents – upload all the important documents that need to be submitted. Also. upload your passport size photo and signature in the prescribed size and format.

 Fees Payment – After the application the candidates have to pay the WBJEE Application Fees using Netbanking, Debit Card, or Credit Card as per their convenience. The last step is to download the confirmation page ensuring the application process is completed.

APPICATION FEES

After uploading the required documents the candidate will be  automatically redirected to the payment page.
The amount payable for the entrance examination is  Rs.500.

Candidates can either pay  offline or online mode.

In order to do an offline payment the candidates has to make the payment in cash from any branch of

Allahabad Bank via e-challan with the help of Core Banking Services.

The fee once paid is not refundable at any cost.

After completion of the above steps the candidate will be automatically redirected to the “Confirmation Page” which is further needed to be downloaded and printed.

The ‘Confirmation Page’ signifies successful completion of Online-submission of JELET 2022 Application Form.

JELET 2022 Result

  • JELET Result 2022 dates are yet to be announced. 
  • The result will be announced on the JELET Website  www.wbjeeb.in/jelet.aspx
  • Candidate can check their result by logging in with their provided roll number. 

How to Check JELET 2022 Result?

  • Visit the official website of WBJEE JELET 2022
  • Click on the link "JELET Result 2022
  • Login using Registration Number and Password
  • Click on the "Submit" button
  • Rank Card will be displayed on the new screen 
  • View the scores and save it for future use

JEE Advanced 2023 Application Process

Step 1: JEE Advanced 2023 Registration

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2023.
  • Enter JEE Main 2023 Roll Number and Password.

Step 2: Upload Documents

Documents required must be kept handy before filling the application form. Once the JEE Advanced application form is filled correctly, upload the required set of documents with the specifications.

  • Upload high quality scanned images of your latest photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  • The signature size should range from 1kb- 30kb.

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligbility Criteria

The candidates can check below the eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Advanced 2023:

Age limit: There is an age limit to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

  • Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995
  • Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

Qualifying JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2023. The number of candidates that are selected from each of the categories is as follows:

Preparation Tips

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allotted seats into the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.

The counselling for the JEE Advanced AAT 2023 qualified candidates will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The candidates will have to register through JoSAA where allotment will be done according to the candidate’s secured rank, preferences made and availability of seat.
