After the announcement of the GATE results last year, the exam conducting authority will release the GATE cutoff for all the papers. However, the GATE participating institutes decide their cutoff for admission to pick out candidates for a course. GATE cutoff is that the minimum marks that test-takers have to score to be eligible for admission to MTech, MSc, and PhD courses offered at the participating institutes.

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates.
