About Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2022

Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2022 commonly known as GATE is a national level examination conducted online for admissions to  Master of Engineering (ME), Masters in Technology (MTech) and direct PhD admissions to Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs), National Institutes of Technology (NITs), Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) and other institutes/universities across India.

The exam is  conducted jointly  by the IIT Bombay, IIT Delhi, IIT Guwahati, IIT Kanpur, IIT Kharagpur, IIT Madras, IIT Roorkee and Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISC Bangalore), on a rotational basis on behalf of the National Coordination Board (NCB - GATE), Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Human Resource & Development (MHRD), Government of India. 

  • Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) is an exam on the comprehensive understanding of the candidates in various undergraduate subjects in Engineering/Technology/Architecture & Post-Graduate Level subjects in Science.
  • GATE 2022 will be conducted for 24 subjects (also referred to as “papers”) and it would be distributed 5 and 6 of February 2022.
  • The GATE Exam centres are spread in different cities across India, as well as, in six cities abroad. The Exam would be purely a Computer Based Test (CBT).
  • The GATE score would reflect the relative performance level of the candidate in a particular subject, which is quantified based on the several years of exam data
  • Note that the GATE 2022 score is valid for THREE YEARS from the date of announcement of the results
  • The Organizing Institute for GATE 2022 is Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IITK)

  • Visit the official website of JEE Advanced 2023.
  • Enter JEE Main 2023 Roll Number and Password.

Step 2: Upload Documents

Documents required must be kept handy before filling the application form. Once the JEE Advanced application form is filled correctly, upload the required set of documents with the specifications.

  • Upload high quality scanned images of your latest photograph and signature in JPEG format.
  • The signature size should range from 1kb- 30kb.

JEE Advanced 2023 Eligbility Criteria

The candidates can check below the eligibility criteria to appear for JEE Advanced 2023:

Age limit: There is an age limit to appear for JEE Advanced 2023.

  • Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1995
  • Five years relaxation is given to SC, ST and PwD candidates, i.e., these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1990.

Qualifying JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,45,000 (including all categories) in Paper-1 of JEE Main 2023. The number of candidates that are selected from each of the categories is as follows:

JEE Advanced 2023 Counselling

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allotted seats into the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.

The counselling for the JEE Advanced AAT 2023 qualified candidates will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). The candidates will have to register through JoSAA where allotment will be done according to the candidate’s secured rank, preferences made and availability of seat.
