Goa Common Entrance Exam 2022 Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE) Goa conducts Goa Common Entrance Test to provide admission into various undergraduate courses in engineering, architecture, pharmacy, paramedical streams in colleges located across Goa.
This is a state level exam and is conducted once a year. Students willing to study graduate courses in fields mentioned above can aim for this exam. The popular name for this exam in short is GCET.
The notification is released on the official website of GCET at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released. The application submission began on 23 May 2022 and students can submit applications till 10 June 2022. The exam for 2022 will be conducted on 11 and 12 July 2022.
Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and location of the test centre will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology have to be answered in 2 hours. The exam will have 4 papers and each paper will have 2 hours to answer questions.
Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it.
Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks, If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Information about the exam is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the students:
