Central Universities Common Entrance Test 2023 National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts Common University Entrance Test (CUET) which was formerly known as Central University Common Entrance Test (CUCET).
The test has two versions - for Undergraduate course entry and for Postgraduate course entry. The test conducted for undergraduate entry is known as CUET UG and the same for postgraduate entry is known as CUET PG. This is about CUET UG and it is a national level exam.
It is conducted once a year and candidates who wish to study graduation in well-known educational institutions (central universities and other institutions in particular) in India can prepare for this exam. The notification is released on the official website of NTA at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released.
The application submission for CUET UG 2023 has begun from 9 February 2023 and the last date to submit the applications is 30 March 2023. Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. CUET UG exams will take place from 21 May 2023 onwards. The written test will be conducted in online mode and questions related to maths, physics, chemistry for science related graduate courses, biology/physics/chemistry for biology or biotechnology oriented graduate courses have to be answered.
Students seeking admission into arts/commerce related subjects have to answer questions related to english, general aptitude, general knowledge, quantitative aptitude, commerce, accountancy related questions. The questions have to be answered in 195 Minutes or 3 hours 15 minutes.
Candidates who pass the exam with the required score (minimum qualifying marks or cutoff marks) will be called for further admission procedure. Cutoff marks will be set and candidate's score in the exam has to be equal to the set cutoff marks or above it. Candidates can compare their score with the set cutoff marks, If they find their score to be either equal or greater than cutoff, they can take part in the counselling process. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates.
