Registration for admission counselling for 2023 began on 6:00 P.M. on December 28, 2022; and Closed at 6:00 P.M. on January 12, 2023. The publication of the first result of allotment list will take place on  January 18, 2023 10:30 A.M. Payment of Confirmation Fee to Consortium for Freeze and Float options and Admission by NLUs for the First Allotment List is to take place from January 18, 2023 10:30 A.M. to January 22 10:30 P.M.

Counselling is the process where students can apply for the seat to study the course of their choice in the institution. Candidates have to produce required documents like pass certificate related to the entrance exam, certificates related to qualifying exam. The seats would be allotted based on availability, demand for them.

CLAT 2023 Counselling will likely be conducted in 7 stages  soon after the declaration of the results. Counselling will be organized and managed on the basis of merit rank of candidates.

• It is compulsory for the candidates to pay the counselling fee before hand to be a part of CLAT 2023 Counselling.
• Candidates will have to present their original certificates, while the  document verification process is going on. If any candidate fails to present the genuine documents, his/her admission will be cancelled immediately.
• In the 1st round of counselling, the candidates will be given  liberity to select their institute and course once the document verification is successful.
• While attending CLAT 2023 Counselling, the candidate will have to submit a fee of Rs.1000 (Rs.850 in case of SC/ST/Female candidates) via bank challan.
• If seats are still remaining, 2nd round of counselling will be conducted. Candidates who attended the 1st round can also appear again if they wish to change their course.
