Common Law Admission Test 2025 - Consortium of National Law Universities (CNLU) conducts Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) every year to provide admission into undergraduate and postgraduate law courses. Students who pass this exam can get a seat to study UG or PG law courses in 22 National Law Universities located across India.
The courses offered are undergraduate (integrated) LLB course and postgraduate LLM course. UG law courses are of 5 year duration and postgraduate courses are of one year duration. The integrated law courses on offer are BA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB, BBA LLB, BSW LLB.
The notification is released on the official website of CNLU at appropriate time every year. Candidates can submit applications after the notification is released.
Candidates can visit the official website and click the link for registration and create an account comprisiing username and password. Post creation of account, they can login with help of password and username obtained during the registration and start filling the form, they can upload the required documents, pay the registration fees and then submit the form.
Post application form submission, applicants have to appear for a written test. The exact schedule, time, and mode of the test will be communicated through registered e-mail id or through other source. The test shall be conducted in offline mode. The questions to be answered depend on the type of the course candidate wishes to apply for through CLAT.
Registration for CLAT 2025 opened on 15 July 2024 and closed on 22 October 2024. The exam will be conducted on 1 December 2024. Highlights about the exam are mentioned in the tabular format below for the sake of the students:

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) will be responsible for the counselling session of JEE Advanced qualified candidates. Registration has to be done and the candidates will have to select their choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allotted seats into the participating IITs according to their secured ranks, preferences and availability of seats.
