The eligibility condition to apply for BHU PET depends on the type of the course the candidate wishes to apply through the exam. Individuals can apply for courses across arts, humanities, science, commerce, law and education through this test.
On a broader note, the qualification to apply for this exam is a pass in graduation in the respective subject in which the candidate wishes to pursue postgraduation. More information is provided format below for the sake of the candidates:
MA Economics
Candidates must have passed B.A (Hons.)/B.A/B.Sc (Hons)/B.Sc under 10+2+3 pattern. Candidates must have, in an aggregate, a minimum of 50% marks including all subjects studied in the qualifying examination.
M.Com
Candidates must have passed B.Com (Hons.)/ B.Com. /B.Com.(Hons.)-FMM under (10+2+3) pattern. Candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination.
L.L.M
Candidates must have passed 3-Year LL.B. after Graduation under at least 10+2+3 pattern. Candidate who has passed five years LL.B. under 10+2+5 pattern is also eligible for the entrance exam. Candidates must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in their qualifying examination.
M.A. Mass Communication
Candidates appearing for the entrance exam must have graduate degree in any discipline in 10+2+3 pattern. They must have secured a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate in the last qualifying examination.
M.C.A
Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline. They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in qualifying examination. Candidates must have Mathematics as one of the compulsory subjects at either Intermediate or graduation level or equivalent examination.
MSc
Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in relevant discipline. They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in qualifying examination
MA
Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline. They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in qualifying examination.
MCom
Candidates must have Bachelor’s Degree under at least 10+2+3 pattern in any discipline. They must have scored a minimum of 50% marks in the aggregate in qualifying examination.
The exam will be conducted in offline mode and online mode depending upon the situation. In an online mode candidates will be writing the test on a computer and offline mode is where answers will be registered on a separate answer sheet.
The questions will be depending on the subject the candidate chooses for postgraduation. The medium of all exams will be english and hindi except for language related subjects. More information is provided below in a tabular format for the sake of the candidates:
