English Course 2023 English relates to the study of the linguistics, literature and philosophy of the English language. It is a 3-year academic UG programme offered in most of the universities and colleges across India. You can either opt for BA English (Honours) or BA English.
BA English (Honours) refers to specialization in English whereas BA English focuses on the language and literature plus a combination of subjects (History, Psychology, Philosophy, English). Selection is made on the basis of cut-offs. Some colleges conduct entrance tests followed by the interview.
The course is also offered as an MA degree in top universities after which aspirants can opt for MPhil or a PhD in English.
