College of Engineering Studies (COES) Scholarship

Exclusive Scholarship For All Girl Students:

• 25% Scholarship on tuition fees will be given to all girls taking admission in any of the Undergraduate and Postgraduate (full duration program) for 2020 Intake
• This scholarship is renewed every year.
• Min attendance in the previous year should not be <75%
• The student must not have any disciplinary action/case.

B.Tech

Merit-Based Scholarship

1. 1. The scholarship will be given to students securing an aggregate of 80% marks in class 10th & 12th & 80% marks in PCM for B.Tech (All Streams) in CBSE/ICSE /State Examination Board. Such scholarships will be limited to 10% of seats in each B.Tech Program. Scholarships will be given for the first Semester in Merit order to eligible candidates.
   2. Scholarships will be Merit-based only.
   3. Continuation of Scholarship in the subsequent years will be according to the University policy Scholarship Amount

•              50% on Tuition fee for the First Semester

Scholarship for Uttarakhand State Board Toppers:

1. 1. Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program.
   2. The seats reserved under this category will be for 15% reservation for Uttarakhand resident students.
   3. Candidate must have Permanent Residence Certificate.
   4. Students will be entitled only for 1 scholarship at a time.
   5. Scholarship in subsequent years will be according to the merit scholarship policy of the University

GATE SCHOLARSHIP

Scholarship of Rs.12,400/- per month for students having 70 percentile and above in GATE. 

RESEARCH GRANT

All Students will also be eligible to avail a grant up to a sum of Rs. 50,000/- towards outcome-based research as per rules & regulations framed for the purpose by the University.

To become eligible for the continuance scholarship in subsequent semesters, the students are required to have 

1. earned minimum SGPA / CGPA of 8.0 in each semester
2. passed every semester examination in the first attempt besides maintaining regular attendance, discipline, exemplary behaviour and compliance with all other norms as prescribed by the University from time to time

The selection to COES is based on the marks obtained in the entrance test followed by GD & PI.

College of Engineering Studies Admission Process

The admissions to COES are completely based on merit and UPESEAT (UPES Engineering Aptitude Test)/JEE Main scores.

Application Process of College of Engineering Studies

• The candidates need to visit the official site of UPES.
• The candidate first needs to register with personal & academic details.
• The candidate will receive an OTP on his number which he/she needs to enter to proceed further.
• After this, the candidate needs to click the Application Form tab.
• The candidate needs to fill all the details correctly.
• The candidate will receive the Application Number and should not share it with anyone else.
• Next, the candidate needs to click on Login and enter email id & password. The password is provided to the candidate on his/her registered email.
• A payment button will be displayed on the screen. The candidate can select the mode of payment and proceed further.
• Once the payment is done, the candidate has to submit the academic details as per the selected course.

Note: In case of offline payment, the candidate needs to submit a DD drawn in the favour of UPES and will be payable at Dehradun.

UPES Dehradun Hostel Fees

The hostel fees for both boys and girls ranges from Rs 1,00.000 to Rs 1,50,000. Hostel room with attached washroom would cost Rs.1,75,750 and Rs 1,97,750 for hostel room with attached washroom and air conditioning. Interest free refundable Hostel Security Fee is Rs.10,000.
